I had my air con regassed today.

Cost £50
He sucked out the old refridgerant, pressure tested it, and then replaced with fresh refridgerant / oil /dye and went round checking the other components too.
He tightened up my valves saying that they sometimes work loose on Omega's.

This must be about the 6th time I've used this bloke and would highly recommend him.

He is part of the Cool Car Air Con franchise and covers my area.

He also did our I.T. Manager's Stype, so he did the pair of them for £45 at our place of work.

Thanks
Mike

Yeah, I know, I should have ignored the PM's and the abusive phone calls, but I just couldn't.

Perhaps he caught me at a bad time...

Also, the other forum was never meant as competition, just one that I could stop him joining :).

Like I said though, it's all dead and buried and maybe I'm a bigger (definately the case.lol) and more mature man now...

Thanks

Chris,

Don't want to air dirty laundry in public but had quite a major bust up with a ex (I think) member on here about something ridiculous, but I had to draw the line when he PM'd me threatening to come down and sort me out like a man???

Oh, didn't I say not doing my dirty laundry in public....oh well, its dead and buried now :)

I would have to say that OOF can't be all that bad.

I was here before, left in a moment of stupidity (sold my omega, got another one, sold that and so on) but now I'm back....and in another Omega :)

Thanks

Omega General Help / Re: Parking Sensors Not Working....Now
« on: 25 May 2012, 18:36:42 »
Now fixed.

I took the car back to the bodyshop and he dropped off the bumper and said they are all connected, so bring it back in the week and we'll have a proper look.
Me, being me was impatient, so I dropped the bumper off when I got home and had a proper look. I pulled gently on all the wires and one came out.

It just wasn't plug on hard enough. I must say, it took alot off effort to get it to click.

Thanks

Omega General Help / Parking Sensors Not Working....Now
« on: 24 May 2012, 21:52:36 »
Hi all,

As you may have seen from my "Rusty Wheel Arches" post, I've just had my rear arches and bumper sorted.

Since getting the car back, the parking sensors beep continuously when in reverse. The beep doesn't sound like the something is too close beep, it sounds like a deeper note.

I'm going back to the bodyshop tomorrow (if I can get out of work on time) to get him to have look.

My question is, would this happen if say a wire was trapped or, a sensor not plugged in?

Thanks
Mike

P.S. Arches and bumper do look good though :)

Mine was £450.
I thought it was expensive, but everyone I know said it wasn't bad :(

Omega General Help / Rusty Rear Arches
« on: 17 May 2012, 16:55:07 »
Hi all,

Just thought I would post a pic of my rusty rear arch as hopefully, it won't be there much longer.

The car is going to the bodyshop on Monday to have this arch, the other one (which is nowhere near as bad) and the rear bumper done.

I'll post some after pics up once I get back and I'm going to ask the bodyshop to take some W.I.P. pics too.

Pretty bad! It looks even worse now as the chap in the bodyshop pulled all the loose paint off to see how bad it really was. He said he's going to cut out the old metal and put a new bit in...

Thanks

Well, the trip back in the Monaro was........interesting.

Thought we'd had it as we pulled it, she was a bit squirly..

Picked my Elite up on the way home and am now looking forward to the next meet.

Thanks to Martin for letting us invade him (well his premises) for the day.

Hi all,

I'm not new here, just an old member rejoined after "acquiring" another Omega.

It's a 2001 3.2 Elite.

HI.
