New Omega Owner!
« on: 25 May 2009, 15:17:47 »

Hello, picked up my mv6 on Friday. Done about 300miles, aside from the shocking economy (or lack of) I'm pretty happy. Only cost £700 notes!

Markey Mark's got a peachy MV6 est. in the same colour. The mpg is only to be expected but worth it every time you hit the loud pedal. Do you know when the cambelt/water pump was last done? 40,000miles or 4 years, if not sure do it.
Anyway, welcome to the world of Migging, it's a pain at times but once you're hooked..... :D 8-) :y

Cam belt was done circa 10k ago thank god! Although when I've got a bit more cash behind me it'll get done again to be on the safe side. Will also give me a chance to have a good inspection of the block etc.

Whats wrong underneath ::)

Outside temp sensor was just hanging out! So mate was sticking it back in the correct place!

Very pleased with it, got a few things I need to fix (and no cash to do it! grr  >:()

Exhaust. On the passenger side the exhaust has rusted through and is no longer attached to the middle silencer.

PAS. Pas pump is knackered (or I believe it is)

Oil Leak. Believe its coming from the rocker cover, need to look in to it propperly at some point! I'd hazzard a guess and say crank case breather is blocked up as well!

And a few other small bits, front splitter is broken, looks like the previous owner ran something over!

None of the local breakers yards have any omegas in which is a pain in the bum so these bits are going to have to wait!

PM RobseyMV6 as he is breaking a MV6 saloon at the moment and i'm sure he will have the parts you require.

Nice car by the way mate and enjoy it

Lovely looking car!
Are those the Irmscher wheels or the MV6 ones stripped of Anthracite?
What rubber do you use?

Cheers guys.

Its Thirlmere Avenue in Tilehurst, where abouts are you?

Irmisher wheels (or whatever they're called!) and also has Irmishcher carbon fibre effect interior trim!  :D

I thought it was just couldn't remember the name. I'm in Tilehurst as well off Knowsley Road, May have to pop round after work and say hi.
