Taking advantage of our army
« on: 09 December 2022, 10:20:09 »

I see it’s the governments intention to cancel leave for the army. Why should they suffer for this
Circus of clowns mess in charge of the country?

Did you see Barosa tell everyone( including the enemy ) that Europe is desperately low on weaponry and shells etc as we have been giving them to Ukraine and not replacing them!

What is the rational behind cancelling leave? A Putin offensive maybe.

Presumably the MPs will cancel their leave to man the warm soup kitchens or A and E Admin. Matt Hancock for example . He has the time and skills.

Remember the fire brigade strike in the seventies & they brought the green goddesses out about as much use as a chocolate ashtray, as for the strikes I've been in public services for the majority of my working life & being totally honest most of the time it's money for old rope + there's always bags of overtime if you want it  I know nurses who were on £80 per hour years ago by working their rest days  on the bank , unfortunately some folk don't realise how well off they are. The army have no choice in being ordered in you sign on the dotted line & get on with it it's as simple as that.

They'll probably enjoy it blue lights & everything else that goes with it  ( attractive nurses) you have to be a " certain type" to join the army in the first place so I wouldn't worry about them..😊

People who get their salary from the taxpayer arent employees. They are Public servants.
Imo they should not have the option of going on strike. They signed up to public service, but if they want the advantages(?) and disadvantages the private sector have , they should go and try their luck in the private sector.
All this bullshit about nurses having to use foodbanks to survive etc. I dont believe a word of it.
The Tories have a big majority just like Thatcher had last time this happened.
They should do to the unions in the public sector what she did to the unions in the private sector.

Absolutely spot on , as I said earlier I did very well from being a public servant  it's even been reported that Prison officers  are resorting to foodbanks its utter shite, I have no time for strikes, in this life you make your own choices if you don't like it move on.

If your in the private sector and considering going on strike, you have to take into account the damage that will cause to the company profits, which leaves them less funds for wages and rises, and ultimately the company could be put out of business with a loss of all jobs.
Non of that applies to the public sector which is why they play fast & loose with industrial action, and why they shoudnt be allowed to take it
This Tory Govt. needs to grow a pair of balls as big as Maggie had.  :)

Yes Rishi should pass a law that public sector worker pay rises are capped to the private sector average and if the private sector ain't getting a rise, neither should the public sector.  :y

That would make the Guardianistas choke on their lentils mind.  ::)

Rishi was in Lincolnshire today ( RAF base )  saw him on our local news he was talking a lot of sense just hope he doesn't weaken, more or less stated that he won't be held to ransom by ridiculous pay demands .

The problem with career politicians of any hue, is they have scant knowledge of life outside of their ivory towers.
