All the Americans I know personally would like Donald to go and opps.off.

Its a small sample size of 8, so may not be representative, but i can't see why anyone would have voted for him so.i guess that there are a similar number who'd have liked him.to stay.

I've been in self isolation for 11 days, but at 8am in just over an hour, I am going to look at my list and decide wjetjer to drive 1/2 mile to Tesco, where they will definately have everything i need or Aldi, which is 5 miles away, to give the Omega a "run" out. But risk not getting everything on my list.
We've used about 30% of our lockdown emergency supply, but the cupboards look full, and both freezers are like playing tetras.
I did look the home delivery options.
Tesco was after 7pm in 2 weeks time. ASDA was available any afternoon or evening from tomorrow.
But I have yet to do an online shop.and I'm.not about to start.

Put it back under Central Govt command personally and remove the mayoral position.

How would that be an improvement  :o ?

Considering the population of London is only slightly less than Austria, Israel, Switzerland, Hong Kong and is higher than the Scandinavian countries, Ireland and others, it ought to be governed the way it is now, just like counties are.

It would be better for all of us if the central government wasn't based in the same place.

The BBC led The way by moving Breakfast news to Salford.

Whitewash....

Even the token 'whiteys' will be on message.

They will almost certainly be....

Embarrassed to be born white.
Think they can never apologise enough for the British empire and British imperialism.
Be fully up to speed and agree 100% with critical race theory and white privilege.
Believe that being gender neutral is the future.
Let their children decide their own gender.

I live in Liverpool. I'm aware of the history of links to slavery. I'm white, and I'm aware that Britians place in the world is built on historical foundations from the crusades to taking land and exploiting other lands and people from.what we call the commonwealth. But we are where we are.
We can do better in future, but I'm not going to have guilt for my own contribution to it.  My grandparents had nothing. There own parents were mill workers exploited like the workers are being exploited in the garden industry today. Just in Burnley and not Bangladesh
I'm.not going to give up what little security I have to change the world, and these people aren't either.  What salaries are they going to get. I'll say the "right" things if the salary is good enough..

Incoherent me? BIBBLE.

Sold my Maggie Thatcher blessed British Gas shares decades ago, and since then none!! ::) ::)

But, with all that I buy from Sainsbury's and Argos I should get some in them! ;D ;D ;)

That never works.  I thought, that I needed to diversify my SIPP portfolio, so after i had a really good custoner ecperience taking out 2 Mortgages with virgin money plc, i thought, id buy into banking.  Yeah. Ive lost on that.

Who has a mortgage at 66? How long before people get totally sick of go fund me and the like, esp when it's abused, as I consider this appeal is.

I own 3 houses.  One outright. The one we bought in.
1998 with a 17 year mortgage, knowing that we'd started paying a 25 year mortgage 8 years earlier, and not wanting to pay for longer.  But now wished we'd gone for longer, because we could have bought a better house.
Another one we bought 6 years ago on an interest only buy to.let, but have been overpaying by the amount of rent we get, so that it should pay off by the time we are 64. Effectively the cost of it will have been the deposit, maintenance and the income tax.....Not sure if I want to.keeo.it into.my retirement, but that was the plan...£700 A month once the mortgage is paid. Or £150k if sold (assuming no inflation)
The third, was an ill thought out purchase.  There was significant man maths in the purchasing decision, but if I take a permie job that's kind of being dangled by my current client, it's 100 miles closer, so we might both live There in the week.until it's paid off at oh 66..
Why 66? Because the lender would have wanted to see evidence of pensions and shit like thst, and I just couldn't be arsed getting all.the paperwork out.
Either way, if pur parents die and leave us any money, maybe both mortgages will.be paid off sooner....I fully expect that care home fees, or wills being rewritten on a whim to jump a generation, will make that unlikely..

I know someone who bought an expensive house on an interest only mortgage, and remortgaged it through the early 90s as the value went.up, which supported his family's lifestyle..He's a financial.advisor. in 2008, he was paying £3k a month, in interest and had no income due to the financial.crash for 5 months.....Rather than a repayment mortgage, he has used the money for i"nvestments" ..
Good luck to.him.if you have the balls.....

I reckon he's pressed the first post first tab, instead of leaving it at last post first.

I borrowed the same time machine as the recruitment agency that emailed me last week telling me about a fantastic contract that might interest me at £16 an hour inside IR35.

Before lockdown, i was achieving 28 mpg, and since lockdown I've been achieving 15 mpg.
I should think about a more environmentally friendly car.
Before lockdown I was spending £70 a week on fuel and since lockdown, I've spent £170 on fuel.

Omega General Help / Re: Misfire/EML light
« on: 29 January 2021, 14:34:35 »
Plug 6 is generally the one that gets missed ::)

A toasted bannock says that the sponge on the firewall is completely soaked and dripping onto the coil pack plug...

My 3.2 had a misfire this evening. It's been pissingbrain for days. . No engine management light, but when I put the code reader misfire on cylinder 6.
It was okay later, after 5 miles of running, but i reckon it's water on the coil pack or the plug hole full of oily mayo.
When it stops raining I shall investigate.

It stopped raining.  The more often I take the plugs put the easier it gets each time. I've had the car for 60k and I've had the coil packs off at least 8 times.
The cam cover gasket was done by me, about 50k ago.

The fault appears to be either:

have been the spring that sits at the end of the coil pack and wraps around the spark plug had come off the coil pack.

Damp.

A small amount of FOD in the plug well.  (The remains of an oily rubber glove Which was probably me)

I swapped the spring for the one on plug 2, and swapped spark plugs 4 and 6. Thus if I get a misfire from 2, it's the spring, and 4 it's the plug.

Cleaned the plug well with erm cleaner and a cloth.

Put it all back together, deleted the fault code and went for a drive..

Seems fixed.
