A list of the top postcodes for this scam has been released......

Probably best to avoid Birmingham, well more than usual.

Pfft, I'd take any Windows OS over this pile of rubbish that is Apple iOS. I've finally managed to get rid of the last task I needed a Mac for, now it can be replaced with a Windows box, that will just work.

I see more spinning rainbows than a 3.2/2.6 owner gets to see the emissions light and that's saying something.

Thermal runaway anyone?

The flight, 'Thermal' is now departing runaway 4  ;D

I was going to say damp or earth problem. Turn all your lights on and have a wander around your car, see if the main lights are dimming with the indicator pulse. If so, start there.

Aviva = Norwich Union.

DANGER! WILL ROBINSON, DANGER!

I know the weather has been strange, but don't think winter tyre thread is a bit early.. ;D

You may think that, but after I picked my son up last night, it was hailing/sleeting. Yesterday morning I was scraping the window on the car.

There are many services, the biggest two I know of are top cash back and Quidco. I've been using Quidco for years without issue. You do need to sign up, carefully follow the small print and it can take a month or so to get the money back. As I said in the other thread, I used Quidco insurance comparison and even without the cashback, it was still cheaper than money super market.

2 X Avon 205's about 6mm tread
2 X Durun 195's. 1 about 7mm, the other is 8/9mm.

Collection only please. 5 minutes from J29a of the M1. £30

I got this kit with a car and I don't need 2.

I'm thinking £55 posted, £50 collected from Chesterfield. PayPal/bank Xfer or cash on collection. I think that's a good price, but if I'm off, let me know and I'll adjust it.

To be honest the only time I changed the plenum gaskets was when I got them as part of a gasket kit, so I might as well fit new ones.

You missed my point.

1.Why wasn't £125 the best price?

2. Who covers the cost of the cashback?

1. Because that is not how insurance works. Insurance company offers a price to comparison site, some of that money is a kickback to the website that brought you to them. Quidco gives you some of that kickback back to you, so whilst it's backwards to get cashback from yourself, as it got me a cheap policy, I don't care.
2. I cover the cost of the cashback. I'm the only one paying money out, so however it gets there, it's still my money.

Which begs the question as to why it wasn't £125 to begin with.

As an aside, who pays for the cashback :-\
Me. Some people would have paid the 165, I'd be happy with that, but as I used QuidCo to do the search in the first place, it was the cheapest option.

Plenum o rings and seals are fine to reuse if treated with care :y

I was more thinking, if they are original, they are at least 17 years old and will have been off a few times.
