Sky digital. 1.5 hours on the phone over two calls. Still not sorted, they are baffled. The system is running them, rather than the other way around.
Tunnie was too busy still doing his homework....  ;D
They can see what's wrong, but they're not sure why, and they have no idea how to put it right. Passed to the dreaded 'back room', I might hear something next week.
Don't get me wrong, the staff in UK centres are excellent. It's just finding a way to get to them. The Asian call centre staff only have three rules:
1) Try to sound interested
2) Fob the customer off with bullshit
3) Before the customer hangs up, try to sell them something.

Did you buy anything?  :D
What do you think?  ;D

If my little Shitroen C1 goes bang within the next couple of years or so,  I may buy a cheap used  EV for commuting.
I can charge for free at work, so it might be worthwhile.
Im planning on working for just under four more years, so we shall see how much longer the little C1 stands up to the abuse.
Well.....stop abusing it and it will last longer.

Its getting beyond a joke now.

What used to be a national treasure, has over the years become a national disgrace and embarrassment.
Time to get rid of the archaic license fee and let those who still love it pay its costs from their subscriptions.
They've always been liars! I was heartbroken when I found out that Andy Pandy and Luby Loo weren't real.

I have no memory of muffin the mule, but it's possible it happened after a big night on the piss. :)
It wasn't illegal in those days, just a bit of laddish fun  ;D

They are really struggling to get any kind of coherent financial policy implemented. Starmer just keeps backing down, for fear of his back benchers, Downing Street plotters and the public in general. I read a phrase yesterday, 'In government but not in power'. Sums it up nicely.

British consumers love it. Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Amazon Prime day......except they all last for a week, not a day.

Don't forget Guy Fawkes month Steve.  ;)
I don't think Guy Fawkes was American, Ron.

I voted for her in the poll, because it would be hilarious for a couple of months, and then the Govt. would collapse.  :)
There are worse options, imagine Millipede being PM.

Big Ange at the united nations, or lunching with Donald at the white house, or flicking dog ends at Badenoch across the floor at PMQs........oh god  ;D

14
Big Ange is definitely in with a shout, the unions love her. Two years ago, we were saying how bad the conservatives were. Now look what we've been and gone and done. ;D

........
We've *got to* go to Birmingham in a few weeks but we'll go on one of those train things .....

Just think, if HS2 was completed, we'd get there ten whole minutes quicker,  ::) although we'd have to travel ten miles further by car to get on it.  ::)  As it stands, we have quite a few really nice car parks around our way but no actual track.  ;D
Err, you'd have to go a lot further than 10 miles.  You're nearest HS2 station would be Wormwood Scrubs I believe.  Which is about 75 minutes on a good day....

Ah, although I'll never use HS2 I wasn't aware of that.  :y  It just shows what little interest I've taken of it.  ;D
If you do decide to go to Wormwood Scrubs, don't pick up any hitch hikers.
