for the asymmetric thrust
I vaguely recall following that little hiccup on a 737 in Manchester way back when that significant asymmetric thrust was a cause for concern, and something that should have alerted the pilot to the fact that a load of people were gonna die on the runway... ?

Apparently that was an uncontained compressor failure caused by a botched previous repair. Secondary was opening the wrong door, turning the cabin into a blast furnace... The cabin being full of rathermorecombustiblethanisgenerallyacceptable material notwithstanding  :-\
