V6 omegas are selling for £500+ even without MOT
TBE has Irmscher bolt on chavtastic goodies ,LPG kit etc
needs saving , not scrapping  :o
if TB really wants rid then selling it would provide more than enough funds to buy another Zafira diesel  :)
his and hers  :D

We all know that Ebay is allergic to TB; can you imagine how bad it will be if he sells stuff :o

Selling cheap cars with known problems(it's an old Omega, of course it's got problems) to the majority of people who buy such things is less worthwhile than poking out your own eyes with a rusty screwdriver.

How many such cars really make £500 without any hassle?

Have you considered that TB has had his money's worth from the car, and has better things to do with the time and effort required to sell the thing?

It needs saving? Whatever for? It's just an old car ready for the next stage in its life: to become bean tins.
The beans would come out through all the rusty holes.

Sell them as extra seasoned gourmet beans in artisanal handmade containers.
Easier than selling the car, and more profitable :y

Well its a bit more "what are you doing today" but rang my local motor factors to get a pully for aux belt tensioner to use as a power steering delete and they would only sell complete tensioner so ordered one from the bay Thurs and it came in post yesterday!!! Brill service and £21. Now will be able to finish the mounting and work out belt size , have an old belt book with list of sizes and have a good idea of the one that will fit.

Was this a new pulley or used? Worth prising the seals out and regreasing it if it's used, as they do tend to dry out.

Should have a turn-out of all my Omega bits some time. Might be of use to someone now mine is long gone. :'(

Was thinking the same.

I have know I have some unused real saloon springs that will get donated to OOF to sell here to raise a few quid, and I believe I have to saloon roof rails that Andy B gave to me after mine melted that I'll do likewise with.

I must have boxes of stuff, though much of it used, just need to have a clear out.

The original tensioner bearing was solid, bit of lube got it turning. Needed another one to act as power steering pully replacement as no PAS on my Austin. Made the bracket today and worked out the new belt size , its 100mm shorter.

I suspect, given the distance between a R and a L on a UK* keyboard, Mr Jobs felt the need to change my words, rather than me having fat fingers.

WTF is a seaboard? Is it a bit like a sideboard?
