Thanks guys, if you can point me in the right direction for the compressor clutch, that would be great, I know about engine stuff but this air con goes like a 747 straight over my head

Omega General Help / AIr Con!!!
« on: 28 July 2006, 14:28:29 »
For the last couple of weeks its been fookin hot, so temperature had to come down in the car.  Well it blows coolish air, but not what I would expect.  So did myself a little test today.  Normally in the past, if I swtich Air Con off the engine revs would drop a bit at idle, and rise again when Air Con turned back on.   Now when I do it nothing changes, inside the car all is fine cooling fan does its bit according to what is displayed on the ECC, but the temperature doesn't do its stuff.

So basically, from what I can tell something under the bonnet isn't working.  Compresser or Condenser or dunno, unfortunately I don't have a clue about this so replies in lamens terms please  :P

Just a nod from the bank, if I don't get the nod, then I'll be plodding around getting bankrupt as the days go by :p

So I hadn't logged on in a while, and when I did, was confronted by bedlam, yes you know the site I refer to.  Anyway after contacting Dave, all became apparent that things had changed and by all accounts quite rightly so.

So I'm just saying a huge HELLO to you all.

I may not be an owner of the proud lady much longer, finances are causing the change.  However some may chuckle, when I say that the car I am hopefully replacing the lady with is the Honda Civic Type-R.  Yes the insurance will be slightly higher, but it only costs £45 to fill the tank against £68 for the Omega, and I will still only get 200 miles to the tank, short town journeys are a fuel killer, and I miss the fun I used to have in my wifes Audi S3.  I'm 35 going on 21 still and I doubt that will ever change, well the 35 bit will :p

After saying all the above, I will be in on a regular basis, to part with my some what limited knowledge of the Omega.

I'm just glad I found you guys, we had some good times and hopefully many more to come.  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Well its all down to the Admin mate, if you weren't as good as you were before you wouldn't be half as good as you are now.

And if you understood that you're even better than I thought  ;)

The red eyes are from the drink dave, and if it wasn't for the big hood over your head we'd see the big red nose too  :P
