Title: Newbie on behalf of an oldie
Post by: omegason on 15 March 2023, 16:28:10
Hello,
I am new to this forum but my Dad was on here often. I believe he was known on here as BigRon (I cannot currently see his username on here). I am posting to let some of the other members on here know that sadly he passed away last March. I know he had met some of you in person.

I know that I am new to the forum so the following may not be allowed so apologies in advance. My Dad had an omega 2.6 V6 CDX and I do not drive so am intending to sell it. It currently needs approximately £800 of work to make it roadworthy according to my local garage. I cannot deal with the hassle of this so am selling it to someone who wants to fix it to drive or for spares.
I am asking £1000 ono as, once fixed this is the going rate based on models I have seen on the internet.
If anyone is interested please contact me. I posted here as I know Dad would have wanted people who love Omegas to have first refusal so hence the post before I put it up for sale elsewhere. Contact me for further details and pics etc.
Again, apologies if this is not allowed and needs to be deleted by the moderators.

Sorry to hear of  This Bigron's clicky ? (https://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;area=showposts;u=5181) passing  :(
Looks like the Omega failed it's MOT in april 2020 ?
be aware that it has 4 catalytic converters ,which are worth a lot of money if original   ;)
Sadly being off the road "SORN" and not used for so long  :( I doubt anyone would pay £1000 plus recommissioning costs.
what is the registration number ,so people can see WHAT it failed MOT on ,that might help  :y
if there is no interest here ,shop around to see who will give you a FAIR PRICE before scrapping it .

once again sorry for your loss

Thank you for your response. The registration number is: AV51GYP I assume the catalytic converters are original as he did not have them replaced as far as I know.
