MAF Sensor??
« on: 01 April 2009, 13:44:00 »

Ok I have got the "My Naff Code Reader" working...great bit of kit...reset the non present airbag fault code and thus the warning light as well as an old code relating to the sunroof! :y

So also had a look at the live data for the engine...11.3v battery with engine off 14.3 or summat with it running which seemed about right and suggests the fix I did to the alternator has fixed it :y

So the engine has a running issue, when accelerating harder it not somuch misfires as just loses its kick here and there, no real pattern to it really...your pulling nicely then its accelerating but no real kick then the kick kicks back...think its the MAF

Would this be pretty much confirmed by the voltage reading for the MAF reading just 1.1v on the "My Naff Code Reader"??

Have you got a similar reading after the MAF was sorted? :y Totally new to the "My Naff Code Reader" so nice to know what 'normal' is :)

Had a check no misfiring at all when in neutral...only when accelerating in gear...still thinking MAF will be able to sort out a replacement soon I reckon so we will see  :y

Ok MAF changed and "My Naff Code Reader" software and firmware upgraded...

MAF repoting 74 High Voltage not present...whats the normal cause of this??

Have reset code not sure if from old MAF and new software now seeing it or replacement MAF faulty or just plug/wiring issues and MAF is ok??

Car now accelerates really well when cold or in neutral but misses a little when up to temp...
