Its being presented as a UK victory for the most part, and the EU are putting a brave spin on it to disguise the fact they caved in.
We shall see, when the two thousand pages of the treaty have been picked over by the lawyers and political experts.
Having said that, Boris already caved in on Norn Irn after promising he wouldnt, so they beat him there before the serious talking even got underway.

Something for you to think about. If we were still members, not one person in the UK would have had the vaccine yet.
Whereas I believe approx. 700,00 people have had it, and counting because we were able to make our own decision.
Meanwhile, they are still arguing amongst themselves about it and not one of their 500 million citizens have been able to get it.

Untrue. Health care in the individual EU nations is controlled by those nations, not the EU. Any of them could have decided to use the vaccines at any stage with or without EU approval.

Yes they decided to wait until the EU Health Agency ruled the vaccines were safe and effective, but there is nothing in EU laws that said they had to.

Bendy Bananas anyone?

Pointless starting spiteful recriminations already, we are where we are, and I think we'll be fine. Perhaps after a rocky first year or so.

It amazed me how Sir Keir Starmer could tell a press conference that the deal was not a good one for British workers, or something like that, but he would support it as it was a better deal than no deal.....................but how the f can he say that when like everyone else he could not have read the 2,000 pages yet?! ::) ::) ::)

Note also how the Government critics will all be saying it is a bad deal.........could they have done any better against 27 other countries?! ::) ::) ;)

As long as Boris sells it to his own party, it doesn't matter a jot what any other party thinks. So Starmer has to moan about the deal while not upsetting the leavers up north who voted conservative for that very reason. He keeps saying he'll do this and that, but he won't be doing anything till 2024. Ignore him, he might go away.

So you don't think those are the same 2000 pages that May couldn't get her party to agree to, stuck in a shiny new folder to convince Boris he's the world-class negotiator he always thought he was?

Starmer should let the Labour MPs vote without a whip

Those who wanted out will say it's a good deal

Those who wanted to stay will say it's a bad deal

The left wing media will twist everything to slate Boris simply to have something to print/say

Theresa May supporters will say its her deal re-written

Corbyn's supporters will say that if it hadn't been for him we would have caved in weeks ago

Sturgeon will say it never should have happened

The tin-foil conspiracy theorists will say it was all stitched up months ago

Trump supporters will say he achieved the whole thing in the background

Why let the truth (whatever that is) get in the way of a good "soundbite"

regardless of all that hype .. the world will continue to revolve ... life will go on ... and 90% of us will not notice any difference  :)

Yep....at roughly 1000 MPH as it hurtles through space at 67,000 MPH. In the great scheme of things 'Brexit and it's consequences' are small beer.

Besides, everyone knows the answer to life, death, and the universe(s) is 42.

The only perfect Brexit would have been a WTO one. And the Eu take would have been for us to stay in...

So, by default this, or any deal for that matter, is a compromise.

That said, as compromises go, it is a pretty good deal for us as we still get our veg and cars etc but lose any further interference from the ECJ... That alone is worth a few fish that we don't currently have the facility to catch.

So, back to lunch :D
