Not been on for a few days as unfortunately my Mother had a massive stroke on Thursday afternoon, and is currently in hospital.  Prognosis not good, particularly as she is 92.  Such a sad situation.

Had a full geo check on the Estate today locally using Hunter equipment following inner edge wear on one of the front tyres.  Camber reset to WIM values, and front and back adjustments carried out (once rear track rods heated and freed off) - all for £45 + VAT.

Omega General Help / Help - indicators, or lack of
« on: 24 June 2014, 20:52:40 »
Car - '03 2.6 V6 Estate.

Indicators have packed up - will flash ok once only.  Same with hazards - one flash then nothing.  Indicators still all flash ok on locking/unlocking car on fob.
Tried switching hazard switch on/off about 30 - 40 times - no change.
Guess that rules out fuse - looking at wiring diag suspect it may be a dodgy relay (K10) - perhaps someone can advise.

If relay, which one is it?  And is there a similar one I can swap to check?

Thanks

Anyone know what's happened to Al - he appears to have left?  Another long term member gone.  Think I can guess the reasons from my recent contact with Al :'(

General Discussion Area / Drink Driving
« on: 16 December 2013, 23:27:00 »
With Christmas nearly upon us I would like to share a personal experience with you about drinking and driving.

As you may know Northamptonshire Constabulary are having a serious go at Drink Drivers from 1st December this year.

Well, a couple of days ago I was out for an evening with friends and had a small number of drinks before dinner, followed by some rather nice red wine. Feeling "jolly" I had the sense to know that I may be very slightly over the limit.

That's when I did something that I've never done before - I took a black taxi home.

Sure enough on the way home there was a police road check, but since it was a taxi they waved it past. I arrived home safely without incident.

This was a real surprise as I had never driven a taxi before, I don't know where I got it and now that it's in my garage I don't know what to do with it.

Any ideas?
 ;)

Well the Estate went straight through the MOT this am.  Only advisory - slight corrosion on one rear brake pipe, which they helpfully cleaned and greased for me foc.   :y  Local garage and less than £40.

Heads up - there's a load of emails about supposedly from auto-confirm@amazon.co.uk, confirming an order(s) you may/may not have placed, which contain viruses.  They all are around 150K in size, with an "order no" in the title.  The attachment (supposedly your invoice) contains the infection.

Don't try and open the attachment - just delete the lot as soon as :y
