Watched it on live stream .
Superb racing in all classes .
Cortinas in the JCM race were thoroughly entertaining .My first car was a much modd'd Cortina so I was salivating over them all.
The E types were just gorgeous. 8)
The enjoyment wasn't nostalgic ,it was bloody good racing .  :y

Shame about Paul O'Grady couldn't stand his drag act but loved his attitude towards animals, i believe he knew that he was on " borrowed time" may he Rest in Peace.

Yep , I'd echo that too .
I'm genuinely saddened to hear about his passing.

After an eighteen month hiatus due to unforseen circumstances I got started on the manual conversion on my E24 .
Strip down was very easy and interior is now out ,exhaust ,prop,  heatshields , linkages, sensors and cooler pipes all out .
Two bellhousing bolts ,torque converter and the old three speed box will be ready to drop .
The Getrag going in has a split bellhousing case so will be much easier to fit .

This country is fooked. Its all gone to far to be ever put right again.  :(

Couldn't agree more Albs .
You're witnessing the power that the Muslims have in the UK with a 4% population figure .
It will grow , almost exponentially , very quickly to a point where they will wield critical power that will impact negatively on the indigenous UK persons life .
I believe most can see this but seem to prefer sleepwalking into the abyss than confronting it .
I've given up on it as I'm in a more pleasant ( but changing ) place but the generations to come will rue our indecision and rightly blame our inept and short sighted politicians for refusing to grasp the nettle.

I watched the first hustings the other evening and was completely underwhelmed by the collective absence of leadership qualities , charisma and policy content .
They reallly are the three Stoogies.
Either of them when elected will be the equivalent of a Parish Council leader running a country.
There's no stalking horse waiting in the background to pick up the shattered remnants of the SNP when the wheels fall off the bus so I predict that sometime in the not too distant future the devolved administration may be rescinded and control taken back by Westminster , which is no bad thing as they have squandered and squirreled away many millions nay , billions , which should have been used to benefit the people of Scotland .
Truly a cabal of third rate wanna be politicians with no ability to govern a country.
The one facet in the approaching calamity is the sheer enjoyment I shall get watching the lemmings throw themselves over the cliff .
Popcorn at the ready ....... bring it on :y

Literally haven't driven the Omega since it's last NCT ( MOT) last April due to my wife's health .
Anyway , whilst in the garage today I thought I'd get it booked in for it's next NCT in April .
Six weeks should be enough time to get a date in or around my test date .
Now here in Ireland the test is conducted by a private company , Applus , rather than every other private garage as it is in UK , so there is little choice of venue or date far less time .
So I popped in my details and ........................ first date available at my nearest test centre ( 32 miles away ) 30 September 2023
FFS  >:(
There is a note to say that they are experiencing a large demand just now  ::) and to contact the priorty line to " try" and get a date within 28  days
I recall this happened last year but the forecast date was only a couple of months away and I contacted them and was given an appointment for the test at 10 .50 pm on a Friday night with the inevitable delay the car went through the test lane at 11.25 pm and I got out minutes before midnight .
I guess I'll just have to go through the process again .

Why don't we just go in, sort the Russians out and then call it done :-\
Because no sane person wants a square foot of ruzzia .
It is morally bankrupt , culturally backward and malignant in it's wish to spread it's miserable influence around the world .
If it blocked itself off from the world and consumed itself in the most incestuous manner no one would care or miss it .
The most successful misconception told to the russian people is that the West wants to invade it and destroy it .
It's like the rancid slurry pit at the bottom of a neighbours garden ,it's there but no one wants it or to even go near it .
It's a tragedy that the people are destined to live in ignorance and abject fear from within at the behest of their " perceived " peers.

Jeffrey Sachs is an American economist, academic, public policy analyst, and former director of The Earth Institute at Columbia University, where he holds the title of University Professor. He is known for his work on sustainable development, economic development, and the fight to end poverty. He has advised governments around the world and has spoken to the G20.

Here he is speaking and accurately reflecting my thoughts on the war:

No doubt you will label him a "f^cking idiot", as you did me. ::) ::)
A tip on the art of debating my little friend , don't use another persons view or conclusion as your point of persuasion.
And I only use the description I awarded yourself on a chosen few .

Are you still punching for putin ...........?
Please don't treat us like fools and we won't think you're a f\/ckin' idiot .

Frankly, couldn't care less what you think.

Seems like you can't debate in a rational manner.

Oh I can and I welcome and enjoy sensible, accurate debate .
I can also read , listen and view events across a wide spectrum and from those three senses am confident that I have a full and absolute understanding historically , factually and morally of what is exactly behind ruzzia's grasping greed and devotion to misery within and outside it's borders .
I also seem to be on the same side as 95% of the free thinking world in it's condemnation of your favoured country's despicable and utterly abhorrent behaviour towards a free and sovereign neighbour  that posed no threat and has every right to choose it's own path and destiny.
Unlike your "adopted" motherland we have the ability to glean information from more than one single biased and meticulously controlled source.
Don't patronise us by suggesting that the BBC and media are the reasons for our failure to see your skewed perception of the truth.

In my view, the most unfortunate aspect is how many in the West have been gaslit by the media. Few (though a growing number, I'm pleased to say) know anything about the history and background to this conflict – it's far more complex than the usual baying hounds understand. Much easier to call anyone who is critical of the West's actions a Russian puppet. I despair at times.

Fewer still have an open mind and are willing to spend time and effort on listening and considering the views of those who do not buy into the mainstream media's selective opinions and reporting. They just read the paper and watch BBC and feel confident they know all they need to know. ::)

Even fewer have ever heard of Operation Mockingbird.

I don't watch Irish TV so cannot comment on the level of reportage on that link.
However , I'm down in the deep SW of Ireland in an area that has changed little in decades.
Old values and traditions are upheld and people are considerate , helpful and very giving .
There is an undercurrent of hushed displeasure at the increasing numbers of young predominantly male immigrants that have been housed in several local hotels and institutions .
It's noticeable that there is also a significant increase in young three children + families .
All of these that I have encountered have been mannerly and friendly but the inherent conservative nature of the Irish as a whole is being tested by the influx of asylum seekers from the sub continent and eastern Europe  .
Add to this the wave of refugees that have arrived from Ukraine and the situation becomes extremely difficult in regards to housing and amenities.
They now see the threat to their culture that many of us have warned others about for many years .
I infrequently visit the main town now but upon my last visit I could not help but notice the change in the ethnic origins of the shoppers , it was stark proof of the change that is rapidly occurring  even in this remote area of the world .
You can't put the toothpaste back in the tube so the next twenty years will be " interesting " then those of  you that are still here will be f\/cked .....

No annual address from the Kremlin to the nation last December as there is and has been for decades and no explanation given .
Address planned for Feb 21 but no content pre announced as there always is and has been .......

Possible full mobilization putting the country on a war footing to protect the motherland from the hordes of nazi ,satan worshipping ,degenerate, western forces determined to destroy ruzzia .
A crusade against the West .

After watching some of her recent interviews, where she was adamant that she was going nowhere, I reckon someone who knows about her transgressions has given her the 'Go...or else' ultimatum.

I think , and hope , that Police Scotland are closing in on the mystery missing £600K that was donated to the party but never used for the purpose of the donation and has never been accounted for since the Police investigation started in July 2021 . Her " husband /Party Chairman who was noticeably absent from her resignation speech " has also to explain the reasons for a  £100K loan he gave and then got back from the party . She claims she had no knowledge of this or the reasons behind it .
She ( and he ) has lied and prevaricated over every subject she has been questioned about twisting the truth until it had to snap .
I look forward to the fall out that follows.
