done a fair few alloys & found it easier with a spray gun instead of rattle cans, just painted them star silver & clear coated them. If you go down the etch primer route you will need to ensure the wheel surface is clean from old paint otherwise it scab up. Custom wheel paints are available

was on holiday in Dorset when 9/11 happened but was glued to the telly later that day, got a phone call early in the morning when Diana's car crashed & went to the fun factory expecting to get sent to the scene asap but was sent home when it was announced she had died.

General Car Chat / Re: Omega v8
« on: 23 April 2014, 10:48:14 »
always wondered about a V8 Omega, as years ago i was chasing then home secretary Charles Clarke at this particular venue he turned up in an Omega estate in a metallic jade green colour, went over to have a chat with his driver & he told me it was a V8 & that every now & again Vauxhall produced a one off model & they were used as ministerial cars. Tried getting in touch with various Government agencies to find out the history of this car but always drew a blank, even staff at Luton were hopeless so none the wiser as to wether it was a V8 or not

If the media chose (or were forced) to ignore terrorism, would terrorism go away?

Yes

+1 Yes!

All acts of terrorism, at least in my humble opinion, are carried out to publicize their "cause".  Always has been, always will.

So acts of terrorism are PR stunts & photo opportunities for the worlds media?
