Fogs in the Sport bumpers are different to normal fog lights, you will need 'Sport' versions, not many about.

Bumper should be a straight swap, the Sports came with headlight washers as well, so should have holes for washers etc that your CDX has.

that's good,thanks for the info  :y
not so good i just ordered a pair of fogs for cdxi  :(

Does anyone know if the front bumper from a facelift 2.2 sport like the one in the link will fit my 53 plate CDXi 2.6 please ?

Little if any detectable difference between 147 / 157 in my experience.
interesting  :-\ Thanks for the info  :)
I may go have a look at the condition of the z147 items then that are local  :y

Thanks but a bit far to travel for a door ,
I'm waiting on a few local people to get back to me who may have z157
Easter weekend though. it's derivable ,but i'm still using my 93 carlton atm.
someone has all 3 but z147 20 miles away but i'd rather not paint if possible
(other than the masses of underseal, waxoil etc i'll be throwing at it's belly)

General Car Chat / Re: Corsa, Engine Problems
« on: 27 March 2018, 21:13:35 »
I've  just completed completely rebuilding a corsa 1.2 (Z12xep) main & big ends,rings,head work,valve stem seals,tappets etc, (spent £400+ on parts )
getting the valves out is easy compared to trying to re-fit  :(
the collets are tiny ,there is no room to get in to put the collets in place,
then PING ,spend half hour looking for the 2 collet sections that just fired out to who knows where.
i put the head on an mdf board with a cloth to stop the valves pushing down ,
pushed down/compressed the spring with a tube with 2 prongs fashioned with an angle grinder spring end, cloth pad the other (pushed tube with my chest ,stuck the collets to my fingers with grease to get them in place )
was a total nightmare , i have a big valve spring compressor and a small pickavant one, neither worked.
ok, so i have fat sausage fingers ,  ;D
took me all day and evening to get 16 valves (which i had lapped previously ) back in .
someone  on ebay sells 2 collets for about £6 when you loose some

i suspect your local engine  place has special tools to put the collets back and can do the job in seconds for peanuts
I would not do the valve re-assembly again without finding out how much it costs to be "someone else's problem"

Omega General Help / Body panels etc facelift
« on: 27 March 2018, 13:00:10 »
I need to replace a few bits (due to the previous owners lack of talent avoiding non moving objects)
driver's (offside/right)wing, driver's door,driver's xenon headlamp,driver's front fog and complete bumper in good old z157 2au star silver 3
so have a few questions if someone could help me please ?
I searched the forum and  someone said the estate front door fits the saloon ,please confirm ?
are all the wings the same ? facelift and pre-facelift ?
i'm struggling to find a bumper z157 and with headlamp washers ,can I retrofit my washers from my old bumper ? onto a non washwipe bumper (or just not have washers fitted on the replacement)
i'm trawling ebay local to me in midlands/derbyshire areas
any advice much appreciated  :)

Newbie Welcome Area / Hello
« on: 26 March 2018, 20:30:33 »
I'm new to this forum ,
I've recently taken on ownership of a late 2003 facelift omega B CDXi 6 banger
I've been driving vauxhall carltons (opel omega A) for about 18 years,so familiar with the RWD GM platform  ;D
I've run "My Naff Code Reader" to check everything ,now it's  time to start "underbody protection",waxoil, grease, loctite rust remedy etc etc
I have a few questions which I'll ask in hopefully the right sections  ;D
