It was when the Omega was being repaired following being reversed into in traffic. Think it was a 1.8tdci Edge, possibly '58 plate.

Horrendous build quality from shit materials.

The  '22 Mustang I had a couple of weeks ago felt like a reskin of the 2005 one and the facelift '24 one I had a couple of days ago was the same except with better screens.

Everything feels like shit after the mighty Omega!  :y   ;D

Relatively inexpensive insurance quotes above.

Being an old bastard can be a good thing at times. :)

Can't wait until I'm 34 and can get cheap insurance!  :y                                                      ;D
After you reach a 'certain age', they hammer you again.

By the time I get to that stage they'll probably be routinely euthanising people of a 'certain age' so I won't have to worry about my car insurance.  :-\  ::)  ;D
Are you moving to Canada then :-\

No but our shiny new progressive Labour Govt will bring it in, and by the time I get to a certain age they'll be offering euthanasia as a cure for the common cold or anything that makes you a mild inconvenience.  :)

My Mondeo Titanium X's drivers seat is a bit flat as well.  :-\

I've always assumed that it was a cab before I bought it, as although it had a reasonable mileage, a few of the switches like the AC, Hazards and the heated seats, were worn, so I think it had a fat bastard sat in it for hours going nowhere very far.  ::)
It wasn't me ;D

Had one briefly as a temporary replacement... Hateful bloody thing.

Can't imagine my Mondeo Titanium X is much different to an equivalent Insignia?  :-\

I've lived abroad for more than 2 years a couple of times, and a call to the insurers when I got back to explain the circumstances sorted the NCB quickly and without hassle both times.  :y

Can't see anyone spending the thousands needed to put a 1.4 Renault back on the road.

Someone who wants something a bit quirky?  :)  There are currently 10 bidders.

If you want something with a bit more ooomph, how about this?  ???  8)  You'd need deeper pockets tho...  :-\

I'm only at the very start of looking at this Ste, but my initial thoughts are to leave the seatbelt as untouched Ford at both ends, which takes care of pretensioners. The only other SRS components afaik are the seat occupancy sensors. Something to be worked out but I'd hope to be able to take across the Ford items.

As I said, still early stage thinking   :y
Buy a cushion  ;D

^This!^   :y  K.I.S.S.   :-*   ;D

I suspect what seems like a fairly easy project at first glance could turn into a nightmare.  :-X

Omega was £415 to tax so that's gone up £20  :(
Still .... at least the council will have that cash to fix all the bloody pot holes  :) :-\ :( >:(
car insurance renewal £100 too much (compared to other sites) so I'll have to waste my time arguing them down again  ::)

C'mon Dave you know that's not how it works.  ::)

Your twenty quid is more likely to go towards Mohammed's nice hotel than a pothole.  :-X
Mohammed and his mates will soon turn that nice hotel into a pot hole. ;D

 ;D

Guess who pays to fix up the pothole hotels when Mohammed and his mate have all been given council houses?  ::)
