The Post Office.  >:(

They charged me £3.40 to send a C4 sized envelope, with nine sheets of A4 in it, first class, recorded delivery!  :o

Nowt wrong with that. Seems a bargain to me. Half a pint.?

What I cannot udersand is ; if it was my business I would have a concerted effort to reduce waiting lists.

If you were royal mail and had a back log of parcels ……………..

If you were Amazon and had a back log of orders despite having the stock.

Recently we moved heaven and earth and got my dad to his cancer  app at York ( an hour away) . He waited and eventually was seen. Cnsultant looked athe skin cancer and said “ I cannot operate on that” sent hiim home. Just a tick in the box to reduce waiting lists.

What is a landline? Sounds like something from the olden days. My dad still has one but he is 97 and the only person without an App ( apparently)

Well that isn’t true. Certainly in Europe you have to register , no more swallows using health service of the country they happen to be in and of no fixed abode.

If you pay tax it is best to register with the new country you have moved too otherwise you probably end up paying too much and end up with problems when you dispose of assets.

The process is well documented.

We were in Spain a couple of years back & found all the main roads superb , the roundabouts were well tended and the floral displays were  fantastic , flew back into Gatwick and the drive home looked like we were in a 3rd world country, a total disgrace.

Still nice now.

People on the dole can qualify for public service work and get two weeks paid work. Painting bridge railings, council buildings , clearing ditches. It actually works really well as no one would dare graffiti  as everyone knows everyone. Pride in ones home town.

Things that people will do to get or retain power.

When Catalunia had its illegal referendum , Sanchez joined the baying for justice. Now , in order to get a voting majority , he is offering an anmesty. Understandably the right PP are up in arms. The far right ( nutters) are apoplectic with rage.

The right and the far right ( Vox) don’t command enough votes to form a government.

The left justify the deal as anything to keep the right out of power . PP have shot themselves in the foot by courting Vox. They should have stood alone. Google Vox for what they stand for.

135 euros a year here for road tax for any 2.0 litre vehicle. Based on engine size only. The money goes to the local council.

Wretched ULEZ zones springing up everywhere in Europe. Might be driving back to UK at end of month. Got to get a French sticker for Bordeaux and Rouen. Rouen apparently has variable limits depending on traffic levels, more congestion then only the lower polluting cars can drive. Welcome to our new world.

PS no common sticker in Europe.

Diesel has dropped from 172 to 160 in two weeks here.

Not much given the fall in crude.

Staggering figure.

Time for a war, good way to sort out debt?

Do you have a particular victim/culprit/aggressor in mind, or should we just pick one for political expediency?

If it's the latter, how about Liechtenstein? That would save the Navy getting involved, and we have instant scapegoats in Switzerland, Germany and Austria not allowing us to cross their territory to shoot a few people. Then we could get Braverman to change a few words in her hilarious letter to the PM and everybody is happy.

There are plenty of states arming themselves to the teeth.
There are plenty of conflicts around the world. It wouldn’t take much to have the UK dragged into a war. Maybe that is why Rishi brought in Lord Cameron .

We might not fare that well as bizarrely little effort has been made to replace kit or ammunition sent to Ukraine.

I am not advocating a war just saying it would be a way of resetting finance.
