CBA to put them up again.
All you old lads will just have to imagine what an old Humber or Morris Marina look like.
-
Dad ran Humber Supersnipes as company cars from the middle '50's to '67[apart from one month with a MkI Van den Plas 3 litre]and I had a '64 MkI Sceptre.Neither of us nor my siblings had a Marina :'(

There is only one desirable Cresta ; a Cresta PA from around 1961 8) 8) 8) :D ;)
On Bangers & Cash they had a ESTATE Cresta PA. Absolutely in immaculate condition. Apart from my Omega there are few cars I would really love to own, but that Cresta; Yes Please!! 8) ;D ;D ;)

I’d love a PA too, my father had a Cresta pa Basingstoke Friary. Back door fell off and drag link came off, those are the fond mammaries Er……memories 🤣

The one car I would have loved was a 24V Senator,
Every week I valeted a brand new Senator for a customor of mine.
He bought it as a retirement pressie for himself to tug the tin box arround.
Loved it, Not quite as comforfortable as the 2.9 Scorpio Ghia (nicest seat trim/level I have sat on. But the Ford verse Vauhall, no contest, Santator won hands down.

Interiors have shrunk over time, My Carltons were a tad smaller, Omega a tad tighter.
I like a roomy car with the gadgets, sunroof and electric sunroof have to be a must on my next car, but I am not aware of anything that I would like that compare to a Senator, Maybe a BMW series 7/8 or an S class Merc. But I havnt enough spare cash to in vest in either, and would they ever be classed as a proper classic in t he future.

Look at the prices for mint W116 S Classes and ask that question again.

A mate of mine used to import gliders from Germany, and used a 450SEL 6.9 as a tow car. He recounted one time, when he was late for a ferry with a twin axle glider trailer on the back, and it was apparently still happy on the autobahn at 130 MPH. :o

The 6.9 is good but I prefer the earlier 300 SEL 6.3.
A proper cold war Merc. :y
I imagine Jay Leno would be a great bloke to share a pint with. :)

You don't quite sit right in one unless you're a dictator, though. ;D

Rumour has it he kept the severed head of one of his enemies in his freezer. :)
But I'm sure that deep down Idi was a gentle kind man. :)
