There's your answer then.
You'll need the ECU, (2.6 or 3.2 will work fine, but it will need to be told it's not an auto), plus the chip from the key and the transponder ring. Ideally also the car pass from the donor car.

Just been watching Bangers and Cash and one of these is up for auction. Must admit I've never heard of it, but what an amazing car.

Are the half moon seals correctly seated at the back of each head?
If not they can allow oil to literally pour onto the gearbox and exhaust. |

Completed finally my camcover change, no leakages anymore but terrible smell around the car. Had to add about two litres oil before first start as there was nothing to be seen in the dipstick. I think most of the lost oil is burning around exhaust manifolds.

Staggering !!! Seen a few youtube videos, literally cannot believe a rubber belt would be intentionally immersed in used engine oil!! Bonkers. What's really staggering is just how complex changing the bloody thing is, when it's a regular maintenance job on common, relatively cheap, vehicles. The book time for a 1.0l Focus is 9 hours and requires numerous and expensive special tools. That's without mentioning the cost of the parts. This is a job that instantly sucks up the £20pa road tax in one impossible to forget bill. |
