Well he took it to his trusted garage and the quote is £460 for a new clutch next Monday.

4 and a half years old and 31,000 miles so no warranty or footrest.

Just out of interest do Corsa 1.2's have a cam belt interval?!!

Some 1.2 corsas have a chain and others a cam belt, so with the belt its also 40k or 4 years.
have just changed the chain on the wifes 1.0 as it was streched, common fault, not to shure if theres an interval with the chains though.

The clutch unit was £91, the Slave cylinder £111, and labour £265. It took them more than 5 hours.

£467 back on the road. And it has a chain not a cambelt!

Yep, all the 16V units are chain based.

Chains are fine as long as you change the oil regularly
