What did you expect? Suggesting your Omega had done over a million miles, would prompt calls for you to prove it. As it would be a record I think for the UK?

Who would pay to service a car to that millage? You suggest Kodak, but company cars last 3 maybe 4 years Max. If a private owner bought it, why not get a diesel if your doing those mega miles? Going by Vx service intervals, there is no way thats is the original engine either, it must have gone through about 4 head gaskets?

Come to think of it what made you buy a car with that millage?

Complete bull from you as usual rusty!  :y
you defo dont know Kodak... :y

How convenient you have no evidence  ::)

You can also go back as far as 2005, which would been before you got it.

Funny no matter what is suggested you are unable to prove it  ;)  ::)
well yes it is funny as i had to get the mot/log papers when i got the car from the dvla office, as it was a registerd buisness car /Buisness name, and had to change to plg. i dont really care if you beleve me or not, it not worth it.

Omega General Help / Re: rusty wheel arches
« on: 09 August 2012, 22:38:29 »
Hi Freecall,
Thanks for that. Whenever I tried repairing bodywork before I could never get a finish I was happy with, so thats why I thought about going to a pro.
what is the colour, i did mine when it was warm last year, warm weather helped with the spraying, but if you not up to spraying there are a few spray shops around that can doit, think it was £70 for back arches on mine but did it my self as weather was good, you can just see the dif but only just, tuck 7 coats of coulor and 4 coats of lacker, to mach in then left it a few weeks at t-cut it.

Hi there,
My W reg Elite is looking a tad shoddy round its back end. The old problem of the wheel arches rusting. Called at a local body works today.. and was told its more of a restoration job!! new metal etc. and 300 to £400 (per side) was mentioned. I made a hasty retreat. Has anyone in the Mansfield/Notts area  had any similar work done and could suggest a suitable repairer. I should think the cost of repair is not much less than the cars value, but its only done 44k, and I use it mainly for towing and when I want a bit of comfort motoring. Thanks.
cut the bad bits out on mine and fiberglassed it and filler with a bit of wire mesh to make a new lip looks as good as new, just make sure you take the rubber off in side the wheel arch in side as that holds most of the rust when water gets in.
