The ONLY reason teachers have all this on their plate is because society has become a wet-fart.

Since when did White not be White and Black not be Black?  Do you have a penis?  If so, you are Male.  Do you have a Vagina? If so you are Female.

Sorry, but this boils my piss.

Let's say an average Primary school has 200 Students.  If just one of those little kids decides (or more likely the parent decides) that the kid identifies as a oppsing toaster, the other 199 have to be taught why.

Bolicks.

There may be a homoerotic element to this. Although the viewer may be unwilling to accept it. :)

Bikes are much more interesting than football.

If wearing lots of leather and comparing helmets isn't homoerotic, I don't know what is.  ;D

It's just a modern take on Doom on the old 396 based IBMs
the Myst for someone younger like me  :D

I'll chalk that one up to a typo!  :P

Submarines do a very good job of floating.....  The engineering involved in getting them to 'sink' in a controlled manner is astonishing.  :y

They don't need excuses, all of the banks are offering the same amount of interest at the moment, virtually zero. People act as if banks are bothered about retail customers closing their accounts, they are not. For every dissatisfied customer that leaves, a dissatisfied customer of another bank will join.

I'll add to that, if you are in 'The Black' the Bank doesn't want you as a customer! Several tens-of-thousands of pounds in a current account doesn't make the Bank any money (of any significance).

Serves the bastards right though..... coining it in when there was misery for many.

Temp looks fine. But, it would have been running for a while to reach operating temp. Why therefore, is the Rev counter so high at idle, on a warm engine?

Exactly, and the instant consumption at 0.5g/h suggests it's just been fired up.

Towing Eye cover missing, cracked rear bumper, god awful interior...... that's seriously strong money, especially considering its being sold as a 'trade deal', which I can only assume the seller is trying to distance themselves from the 3month mandatory warranty.  :-\

Advert clearly states it will come with a 12month MOT.  :y

Temperature gauge is something of concern to me.

The Chinese produced crap struggles to meet reasonable safety standards, thank God, so we don't get quite so much foisted on us.

The do deals with companies, build X amount and steal all the details and build a likeness of the original.

If they can't successfully copy cheap electronic components, they've no chance of producing a decent car :-X

But that is where you are wrong!  ;D ;D ;D

The best electronic components come out of China and have done for a long time.... it's the knock-off's which are sub-standard.  When China get their shit together in regards to copyright/plagiarism they will do very well for their reputation.

I've been having a look at the Chinese car market, and it is coming on in leaps and bounds. I'm not saying it's world beating, yet, but compared to five years ago, they are are producing some good stuff.

Genuinely, the Chinese have done things right.  They have bought up brands from all over the world, used their expertise (and patents) to create some excellent machinery.

NEVS for example, bought all of Saab's technology, joined with a Chinese company (Panda New Energy) and are producing a decent amount of electric cars based on the 9-3.  Admittedly, only sold in China, but it wont be long before they are global.

Volvo is Chinese, owned by Geely.

Aware of that Steve, but they were 'bailed out' by Ford, which turned into a success story.

Try telling it to me.  ;D
We are not in Europe. We are an Island close to the coast of Europe.  :)

And yes, I reckon the Vauxhall brand will soon be consigned to history. I think Opel will too. Peugeot is probably a more respected brand now then either of them.
A very sad state of affairs.  :(

Simple Geography isn't for everyone.  ;D

I'm not so sure.  I frequently spend time on the continent, and the Corsa and Astra are incredibly popular.  PSA group must have seen a huge amount of value in the Opel brand, else they wouldn't have bought them.

I'll give Vauxhall 18months.  And whilst I agree it's sad for a long established 'British Brand', Vauxhall/Opel haven't built a decent car in decades.

GM was the straw that broke the camels back with Saab (they were in trouble waaaaaay before GM took them over), but the same could be said about Volvo, and Ford did a good job of that.  Skoda are now a bone-fide decent brand under the VAG group.

Oh, it's all a mess!  ;D
