I'm just wondering if it's possible to buy new cam cover bolts the small ones side by side of the coil packs on the 3.2 as mine are looking worse for ware, I could clean them but new ones wouldn't hurt 

Had a look in the search couldn't find anyone after new ones that I could see to get a part number  for them

Presumably VX do sell them though.

Also if I'm correct the torque for them is 8nu.

Aren't they just a Torx headed M6 bolt? In which case you'll be able to buy something suitable anywhere that sells fasteners.

I've refurbed most of the bolts on the suspension of The Lady and all it took was a soak in vinegar for a couple of days, then a quick slamp of silver paint, and they're good as new. You want white distilled vinegar. I appreciate that's going to take longer when you've got bolts that are actually being used on the car, whereas I was working on a car that was SORN at the time.

Can anyone supply Mr.OmegaMan with one set for a single bank, so he can then either clean these, or the originals up at his leisure? Give me a few days and I might be able to sort you with some out, but I'd imagine there's plenty of OOFers on here who have a shed full of them?

The part number is VX 11093871. EPC says you need 16, and they're M6x18. I bet they come in packs of 5

If you're happy with hex-headed bolts I would expect to pay about a quid for the whole 18. And the washers!

11093961 is M6x16 according to EPC - so 2mm shorter on the shank of the screw. Should be fine I think.

Any decent fastener supply shop will be able to supply them,in stainless for pence.

I've got a full set which I'll be fitting to my Lady in due course, I just pick them up as-and-when I see a clean one at the scrappy. I think that the studs that hold the timing cover on are the same, too, and they're often clean/cleaner than the ones on top of the engine. Failing that, just a spot of paint on the old ones would surely smarten the engine bay up no end?

My entire front suspension is held together by 10-20 year old bolts, all of which are in shiny fresh silver paint for that exact reason, just took them off, cleaned them up and painted them. Didn't take long and they look great, Christ knows how much buying all new would have been, but I think wishbone bolts are something like £5-7 each, so let's say a £1 tin of silver metal paint and half an evening has saved maybe £40-60 on buying new.
