Read several articles re global warming , some experts reckon it would have happened anyway regardless of petrol diesel or any other type of emissions, simple way to put it nothing & none of us last forever so if the weather's nice enjoy it personally I like the heat so bring it on..😎

I help lower the CO2 in the atmosphere by driving my 5 litre supercharged Jag only 3000 miles each year. :)

I may join the Green party. :)

I'll have you know I paid a whole £1, as I always do. It's usually in February though.

Obviously not important to someone as wealthy as you. But, having said that, if you own it you should drive it.

Won't they have died by the 14th Feb though?

Global warming denyers / those delighted by the extra warmth will get a shock when the bug population rockets through winters not killing them off. Might seem insignificant but will have huge knock on effects. Human health, food production and so on.

My Mondeo lifts it's nose and spins the front wheels quite easily.  We should swap and compared notes.  :)

Wrong wheel drive for  a car with a reasonable amount of power and torque.

Although Nick W will tell you the yanks shoved 300 BHP and 500 ft lb through the front wheels back in the sixties and seventies.

The tyres were three foot wide though, that's why you could only travel in a straight line.

no, just wimpy narrow 15" tyres. Which was a step up from most of the common muscle cars on 14s.

Yes google Adra, Southern Spain. Ghastly tasteless veg. Of course after Brexit they will be either from huge new ploy tunnels in UK ( about a third) . Rest will come from elsewhere at a price of course.( or you can keep getting them if the EU can fish in UK waters!)

Utter nonsense. We quite happily already import a significant amount of food from outside the EU...

I'm not clear on why you insist that, given as you are a Spanish resident, Brexit is the Apocalypse... ???

Global warming is real not imagined. :)

Two useful warming periods in the 20th century & after our 2016 super El Nino we are now on a sun cycle cooling trend with the last 3 years getting progressively cooler. This will continue for the next 3 x 11 year sun cycles (25 to 27) until 2053 (when Lord Opti celebrates his 300th birthday! :P). The period 2028-32 are going to be very cold with widespread northern hemisphere crop failures. After 2053 we will continue with our global warming as part of the sun's 400 year solar cycle as we increase the temperature by another 2-3degC to continue our recovery from the last ice age and reach the Earths last 1 billion years average temperature. CO2 cycles follow temperature where the hotter the climate the less CO2 the oceans can hold. This lag varies from 5 months (local warming effect) to 800 years ocean temperature increase, where the warming or cooling takes a very long time with the oceans vast thermal capacity.

The difference between a sun warm period & a cold period is about 1.5w/m2. Our climate is driven by the sun, cosmic events, Milankovitch cycles, volcanic activity, tectonic plate continental drift and their resultant ocean currents.

What has helped STEMO is that they will have been grown in a poly tunnel with CO2 levels artificially increased towards the C3 plant photosynthesis sweet spot of 800ppm, so they grow faster & bloom quicker. Agricultural profits work on one cost triangle: Cost of growing: Cost of heating v cost of CO2 injection v cost of growing time. Cost harvesting quadrangle 2: Cost of picking v cost of packaging v cost of transporting to market v EU CAP taxes & quotas and this will decide where the cheapest / most profitable place to grow them is.

Talking of Climate Change, I was chatting to a mate about it the other day and I wondered who is funding and organising the Greta Thunberg circus.  :-\  ::)

Well I got my head bitten off in reply, as my lefty 'woke' mate ranted on at me that she's a highly intelligent young girl, whose organised the school protests and made her way to the US by yacht.... yada, yada, yada.....  ::)

I mildly replied that wealthy people don't lend multi million pound racing yachts and fly crew all over the place to satisfy the whims of teenage girls if there's nothing in return.  ;)

A couple of days ago though, I read that a bunch of Swedish and Swiss venture capitalists who are investing heavily in 'Green Tech' are behind it all.  Now whether that is true or not I couldn't say, but I do like a good conspiracy theory!  :)

Did anyone watch the programme on BBC the last two nights about the Bishop who was molesting young boys ?
The Archbishop of Canterbury covered the whole thing up for years, and he was a good friend of Charles. After he was given a Police caution for what he was up to (most unusual in itself, but the establishment wouldn't let the Police charge him) Charles wrote to him and told him if the young man made any more allegations against him, he would take action against the young man to stop him from doing it.
Imo, he is at least as bad as Andrew, and in no way fit to be our future Monarch.
