It's typical of the cheap, low quality justice that's being handed out in this country these days. The point we're all coming to is that it really needs a traffic officer to be watching the junction to consider all the factors and determine if an offence was committed. We're told we can't afford them anymore so we have to water down the legal system to convict people based on very circumstantial photo evidence.

I've no doubt that it'd be futile to appeal, even though the couple of photos you've shown fall a long way short of proving the offence.

Nah, you still drive like grandad Grin

You don't joke!

I only notice it at 90mph +

My grandad used to drive at a standard cruising speed of 90+ regardless of conditions. A speed only slightly higher than his age at the time. He had cataracts and couldn't see a damn thing. Had to point out the imminent closure of the lane we were hurtling down on the M3 once  :o He voluntarily hung up his driving gloves shortly after that one.

Does the petrol fuel pump still run when it's on LPG?

Canister purge line connected to breather system correctly?

Cheers,

Kevin

Summers generally aren't hot enough to be worth using A/C anyway

Not sure I agree. It can get pretty unpleasant in a tin top even in this country. If you've got a long journey to do it's not exactly conducive to keeping your mind on the road - or anything for that matter. Even when it's not roasting hot, and even when heating the car the air con results in fresher, less humid air which helps, I find.

My preference in such conditions is to be driving something that hasn't got a roof at all but that's not always possible. Air conditioning does at least help.

I have used one of these and they're top pieces of kit. Westfield engine out and on a stand in 45 minutes. I'm tempted, I must say...

if they pay out, wouldnt that mean he doesnt get to keep the car?

Yeah, I guess so >:( But they can usually be persuaded to sell it back to you for peanuts.

insurance claim, is that why you were there

He He. Perfect parting gesture for your current insurer. Drive in to a flood, they pay out for the write off, then break it and make your money back again on here!

Take the leather out first though!

Good, stuff, James  :y

Shame it has to die really but sadly 2nd hand cars are worth the least when they are working :(

I remember thinking my horn was a bit pathetic the other day when some eejut pulled out in front of me without checking his mirrors mid-overtake >:(

Got a horrible cheap Italian pair of air horns with the Westfield kit. Remember thinking they'd probably fall apart before I had a chance to use them but not so. 7 years later they still make the bu66ers jump right out of their repmobiles ;D

The MGF / Elise apparently has an additional issue that the coolant pipes to the rad are very long, meaning that the engine gets shock cooled by lots of cold water as the thermostat opens.

1.8 K Freelanders need to be ragged to death to keep up with the traffic flow. A lightweight revvy 16 valver was not ideal for that vehicle, and that probably doesn't help the longevity of the engine ::)

If it helps mine had a very slight but noticeable misfire at idle when it was dumping sludge. Maybe TADTS but could be a sign. It suggests a compression test would show something if the idle was lumpy.

Certainly could use an oil change looking under that cam cover!

My 214 drove around for ages putting a small amount of sludge into the water. Decided it was probably incompatible coolants, etc. at the time. Gave it a good flush and it seemed fine. Next owner had a catastrophic HGF 2 weeks after I sold it though :-[

As you say, it's been caught early enough that it should be straightforward.

A total waste of money. Bolting a hardryer onto your intake will only restrict the airflow if anything.

For a supercharger to make a decent power hike it needs to generate a significant amount of pressure at the flow rate the engine is demanding at maximum output. This means it needs to be powerful. In some cases 1/3 or more of the engine output is being used just to feed the supercharger. A little fan that looks like it's come off the CPU of a PC will not make the slightest difference and, as I way, will probably just restrict the air intake.

Glad to hear he's doing OK and the Senny is behaving holding together.

He doesn't seem to be very well connected. Has his wiring suffered some kind of failure?  ::)

Do you recall the quality of James'  camera?
A crayon, a bit of paper and a scanner would be clearer ;D

Turning the crossbow on the batsrads wouldn't be a bad idea. See how they like it!
