« on: 15 November 2021, 16:08:27 »
1st of all, if this thread is agaist any OOF rules or laws then please delete.

I have some original music CD's that I want to add the tunes to my phone.

I thought that windows did the conversion as part of the transfer process ( or used to) (Convert from CD th HDD then transfer to mobile.

My question is, what software is easy to use from the CD to MP3 format (and is free)

Thankyou in advance.

Kept seeing the ad for the double Big Mac.

So after the MOT decided to try one.  £5.99 as a meal.

Cooked fresh.  No where near the thickness of a Big Mac years ago, less salad and the 4 burgers weaighed about the combined weight of a 1/4 pounded.

TOTAL WASTE of my money.

Omega General Help / Back Box Recomendations.
« on: 01 October 2021, 20:36:41 »
Been out today, got home found the guts of the back box trailing behind me.

Been on ECP and there are 2 options for a Klarius centre silencer @ £48 or £98  but the back box is £100

So looking for suggestions for suppliers or can just pull the rest of the guts out and would the car run ok and pass an MOT?

Just set a brand new laptop up for the 1st time.  Set the wireless up etc (works fine from next door - same ISP as myself with same package)

Cant get my head round MS Edge to download Firefox as it wants us to use thier app centre, and all that has is the Mozilla guides to download.

Tried to do the same on bing direct from the Mozilla site - back to the app centre, next thing my neighber is telling me what my browser history is that she can see.  She is working on wireless & mine is wired, Just cant work out why the browser history is visible.

No naughty sites for me till its fixed. :-X :-\ :-\ :-\

Sony Vaio PCG-21313M

Trying to help a friend,  She bought the above notebook worked ok at first.  Then it started loading a Comet page showing the spec to the notebook.  Press the esc key it asks fot a pass word to go back to Windows 7

Is there a way round it.
Is there a common password that Comet used.

Do I have to obtain a USB Windows setup to reformat/install it.

T.I.A.

It loads Windows 7 Starter 1st, then goes to the page but too fast for me to access  any files to try to stop it.

Bought a 522GW last month used it a few times using the suction mount. :y

Went out yesterday, Mounted it on the screen and it fell off twice, fitted it a 3rd time and off we went. :y

Got home started unplugging stuff and of course couldnt get the 522 away from the screen (or the 512 mounted next to it)  tried all sorts and ended up sliding a credit card under the edge to break the suction and as you can imagine it dropped into the footwell and hit a metal objest smahing the screen. :'(

Any one know if they do repairs at nextbase (cant find anything online) or a repair service anywhere?

Also guesiing the credit card doesnt cover me for accidental damage.

Heard that Tesco had coin changeing machines in thier stores, so went googling.

How much does Tesco coin machine charge?

Coinstar machines charge a fee of 9.9%. That means for every £1 you feed in, 9.9p will be taken off. This may be a price you are happy to pay for the ease of having your coins sorted automatically but it is something to consider before you cash in your change.

Well thats a no thankyou from me. :-X

Decided to treat us to a takeaway tonight.

Used the shop before, but last time thier food was overcooked.  So ordered a Cheese burger and a small Pizza & make a point of asking them not to overcook/brown the pizza, order time before delivery was an estimated 45/60 mins  :y

Ordered at 9.28 (Estimated delivery time:22:45 - 23:05 when order placed) :-\

Order arrived around 10.30pm so not too bad, but I made a point of checking the pizza before he left, and yes it was burnt.  The driver confirmed on the reciept that I had asked DO NOT BURN/BROWN EDGES, he politelty advised to wait a while and then ring the shop and they would send a replacement.

So did as suggested, as soon as they knew it was a complaint the buggers hung up.  Rang them back, spoke to the manager/owber this time and was offered a replacement but I declined that, asked for a refund but was asked to do it via Justeat as the money was delt with through them.

Sorted that via email (Pending) and then went off to find a contact number on google. (No joy)

So I was led to believe the law changed a few years ago and all UK sites had to give Phone contact details.

Plus found this,

My neighber just asked whats the best product to use. So I said I would have a look at Halfords for her.

If they have a section for cleaning products then I gave up looking for it, ECP not much better.

I warned her off silicone spray (bugger if it gets on the glass) so open to the OOF consumer advice section.

TIA. :y
