12 - 6 movement

front passenger side wheel i have 12 - 6 movement when jacked up no movement 3 - 9, but i cant see where the play is i can feel it though, bottom arm ball joint????

Sounds like play in the wheel bearing. Have a look at this  :y

how come you dont get bearing movement side to side?

When the car is on it's wheels the weight is pushing upwards, this will cause the play to be significantly more noticable on a 12-6 than a 3-9 as that is where the pressure is normally.

Try getting someone to press the brake pedal and try the 12-6 again. If the movement stops then it's the bearing, if it doesn't then it's something else :y

I would say its bottom ball joint, bearing would give play in 3-9

I'm with Marks opinion, bearing would be merely in all positions. 3-9 play would be the steering/outer tie rod, 12-6 would be the ball joint.
