Title: Hello Newbie Signing In
Post by: alkifrolick on 25 February 2007, 09:11:58
 :y

Hello Everyone, just signed up, as I picked up a 95 CDX 2.5V6 Estate about 2 weeks ago now, seems to run OK, 72k, just needs a good valet :-)
However there was always a little stutter to it, which seems to have got worse recently, now it really struggles around the 2000rpm mark.
I believe it may have sat for a while before I bought it, so it probably needs a good service.  I am a computer man so no Jack about cars!
Just thought I would mention the problem on here before I went to the garage to get it looked at, in case it's a common problem or something.
I live in the Peterborough area, so if there are certain garages that members recommend as being good, I am interested.

Thanks

Steve

Hi and welcome, :y

look through the other posts on the technical area.

Could be as you say that lack of use is the problem. Don't talk yourself down, every one has to learn some where and here is a good place to start.

Use to live near Peterborough in a previous life but do not know of any 'good' garages there at the moment. I am sure some nearer member will be able to direct you.

Welcome to the forum :y

Repost the symptoms you're getting, with as much detail as possible into the General Help section.

You will get a better response and hopefully someone will guide you through the problem.

Welcome to the site :)

If its been stood that long, I would change fuel filter first (you can do this yourself, honest), and a good oil change etc.

Howdoo, and welcome to the forum.  Loads of good info here with clever peeps to ensure your Omega runs how it should.  :y  Its probably needing no more than a good dose of servicing, if its been stood as long.  Things like clean fuel, new filter, possibly new plugs and a clean of the throttle body/breathers/plenum.
