Starting to get wear on inside edge of rear nearside tyre,would this point to rear camber adjustment or possible doughnut bush/bushes any advice welcomed.

Having a real problem opening rear offside door,(permanently locked).
has anybody got any ideas how to open,as i cant even get the door card off with the door locked

Front passenger door will not lock with remote central,does each front door have a central locking motor/unit or is it just the drivers side only

Omega General Help / fuel gauge / range meter issue

Just returned from a 150 mile jolly this morning.When i set off fuel gauge showed between 1/2 & 3/4 of a tank,25 miles into journey fuel gauge needle drops to bottom of gauge and orange light on fuel gauge flashes ,so i pulled over turned ignition off and on again and no further problems.
But on the way back after some 40 miles range warning on dash shows 7 miles but fuel gauge shows 1/3 of a tank then range meter sets itself back to 140 miles on its own ,then another 20 miles on range meter flashes up again showing 17 miles but still showing 1/3 tank on gauge .
Has anybody any thoughts as to what can cause this

Is there any advantage or disadvantage  to using 20/50w 0il as opposed to 10/40w in a higher mileage v6 petrol engine.

General Car Chat / audi a3 wont start

a friend at work is having a problem starting his audi  its a petrol 1.8 a3 p reg.

plenty of life in battery and starter spins freely, i feel its almost as if its an immobilizer or fuel pump fault.He has this problem for a little while but before the car would start as and when it felt like it (usually 2 days after),but now just refuses to fire up at all.
Anybody had experience of audi's or can offer any advice

does anyone know if there is any difference between 7 spoke cdx wheels off a 2.2,compared to a 2.6 cdx. any difference in offset etc .

Omega General Help / Re: brake pad wear sensor

Having just replaced my front disc pads,i have found that the pad sensor has worn through giving warning on dash.As a temporary fix can i just cut through the sensor wires and join them both together to form a loop . Will this action stop the warning message on dash till i aquire a replacement .Sorry for the dumb question but auto electrician i am not

Omega General Help / key programming

having had a problem with my 3 button key fob (break in circuit board) i have bought a new genuine vauxhall one
in am using the original key with chip. Will this need to be reprogrammed to the key via tech 2 as i cant get the car to lock or unlock with the new fob fitted.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / battery/alternator problem ??

noticed just recently after starting car from cold,when switching headlights on they seem to have a yellow glow for about 2 seconds then shine with there normal blue/violet tinge.
could this be a sign of a partially discharged battery or a failing altenator

sorry not very good at auto electrics and any advice would be helpful.

whilst driving home from work tonight,had a warning came up on the display  brake pad . Am i right in thinking that this relates to front pads or are there sensors on the rear pads.
