Think I sorted mine, changed pollen filter, checked vents in boot, all fine, then washed car and found about a gallon of water in the scuttle, the rubber tube was blocked solid, cleaned it out and woopee seems to be ok now ;D

Omega General Help / Re: Help with awful sounding engine
« on: 01 November 2008, 13:36:48 »
Do not drive it umtill you know what the noise is, if it is  cam belt related and belt comes off you will wreck the engine  :(

The aux belt is on a sprung loaded tensioner, use a long 15mm spanner or socket and bar move tensioner away from belt, remove belt, refiting is reversal of that, just remember which way the belt goes round the pulleys.

Also bear in mind the water pump is driven by cam belt so check that is ok

What Chrismec meant was ..... TWO bigger hammers! ::) ;D ;D ;D
Try to hit either side of the ball joint at the same time, it'll let go eventually.  ;)
yes exactly, but if your using a fork type splitter you may need to hit it a bit harder(they can be a bit childish some times)
