Wheels back from being refurbed and I am £260 poorer, now to book the new tyres, so popped down to the place that are going to fit the order from Blackcircles and asked how much they will charge to supply and fit same tyres.

Answer is £130 a tyre
Blackcircles £101 a tyre

Fitted at the same place ::)

Almost £120 saving. What can I say

As I've found out, because you've done them out of their margin for profit. You will be bumped to the back of the queue if any issues popup.

I just went Kumho's for the 2.2 @ £140 for a pair of rears. There is another place i spotted just up the road actually, near Guffers they were sporting a Kumho flag. Will call in there for a quote next time

I did say this to them today when I checked there prices, he said they would not do that and you get a timed slot, which I have now booked for Thursday morning for 10:30, if they piss me about I'll just put bad words on there website, I've saved over £120 so I'm happy :y

MOT'd the BMW. It failed. Fixed it. Retested it. It passed. Hurrah!

 ;D ;D

No, handbrake was about as useful as rearranging deck-chairs on the Titanic. Much better now, though, the car no longer goes whichever way gravity commands ;D

Oh and having had the TREs sorted and the alignment done, actually goes where I point it, too.

Had another attempt at removing the window tints, this time used the steamer which worked a lot better. Still struggling with the glue residue on one window and getting the final shreds off the lower edge of the rear window.

Googled and YouTubed the options last night and tried the common option of a new Stanley knife blade and some window cleaner and that's done a good job, once you loose the fear of scratching the glass then the glue comes off quite easily.

Just got to get the odd strips of glue off the rear window now which will be a slow process with the HRW elements on the surface.

Fitted another check strap bush, this time on the drivers side.

It's getting there!

Serviced the last of the valve followers, amazing how stiff they get and the amount of dirty oil in them even with regular oil changes.
