Put some petrol in the Bullet, then shortly after ignored the oil level warning.

Found the cause of the brake failure...

Wheel rim had rubbed through a rear brake hose.

Will be replacing with front hoses as they are longer and will be able to be secured out of the way... Though quite way the hose would be anywhere near the wheel in the first place is a puzzle as they follow the line of the control arm and cut in to the caliper above the hub :-\

Drove it to Basingstoke and back for an interview
Presumably for a job closer to home, as that would be an impressive commute ;D

Or considering moving?  Remember the water quality does something the closer you get to Readingham :P ;D

I used to live in Basingrad so no plans to move back there! :o ::)

Yes, work from home. Head office is Basingstoke. Although it's likely that in future I will need to be down there more often.
Oh, and being serious for a second, good luck :y
Thanks. Left there with a contract on the likelihood I would be offered the job by the end of the day. Just before I got home I got the call... Start in 2 weeks :y

Excellent news. Well done Paul. Was this related to the previous interview?

Having a bit of a tidy-up, I found the bumper guard for the towbar. I didn't refit it when I changed the bumper after Christmas, as most of the paint was flaking off and it looked terrible. And I rarely use the towbar.

So I gave it a lick with a wire brush on the grinder, and a quick coat of primer and then gloss black aerosol paint.

It now looks much better(although I really should have sanded it smooth before painting), so I finally refitted it.

Purchased some new rear springs to hopefully sort the ride height, now just to fit them!

Not to the car, but playing with OOF's hardware.  Finally yanked out all the disks in one of the servers and rebuilt it diskless.  Had the air compressor on it as well, as the fans were previously going a bit mental.

Washed and polished Oscar and cleaned the engine bay today, it's starting to get up to my standard now. I can't stand a dirty engine bay, I think the last owner must have lived on a beach with the amount of sand I removed from around the strut top mount areas.
