Plenty of reports on the Internet of the same thing happening in the middle of last year to users of Google Earth; basically Google automatically pushed an update that renamed Google Earth to Google Earth Pro.

I'd guess you were both previously users of the 'Free' Google Earth? And somehow it took longer than for others for your Google Earth to be forcibly upgraded..

Hi aaronjb, yes i did use google earth many moons ago.So this is what it could be.Dean.

I haven't read the question, only the title. But have you tried switching it off and on again.
Yep, Im with him on this one, any issues in the IT World, just do a Re Boot, or, if your in a rush, just pull the plug out of the wall socket.  ;D

Plus your probably need to do a restart in order for your new Installation to finish off and work properly, otherwise you really will feel cheated.  ;D
Sorry Zirk, you have lost me there.Dean.
Ok, well that obviously didn't work then  ::)..... Hit the delete button, it takes up tons of storage anyway.  ;)
Hi Zirk,i am still not quite with you.I don't actually turn off the pc(ie flick the switch on the back of the tower or pull the plug out).I simply shut down and restart by pushing the button on the front of the tower, also when i noticed the icon.I went to control panel and uninstalled it,as i did not install it myself.Plus others have said its happened to them so there must be some thing going on.Dean.

Kevin i struggle with English let alone latin, its taken me 55 years to find the bloody key to do '. ;D ;D.
No worries, and I didn't mean to be pedantic. :y

I think I did Latin for a year at school, and it was a bigger waste of time than doing the football that would otherwise have been in my timetable.. and they used to call me "the statue" when I played football. ::)
I know mate no offense taken, never did Latin at school so i would not know a noun from a plural ;D.I was called something similar playing rugby ;D ;D ;D.

Hi all, hope everyone is good. This may seem a daft question but how do you put a comma over the top of a letter. For instance cv,s i am trying to put the , at the top of the v.I have tried different thing on the keyboard, can anyone help a thick brummy out. ;D.Dean.

.. and you don't need an apostrophe in the example to make a plural of a noun, although one could argue the correct form as "CV" is an abbreviation of a latin expression.

"CVs" would be the correct form without getting into latin. ::)

It's the key underneath the @.
To clarify, it's the same key as the @, but without the shift key pressed.

Ron.
Thank you Ron,very kind.I did not know that key did that thought it was just@. :y.Dean.
