No Dave I think it’s time for it to go it needs a new front screen and rear shocks too although it has about 8 months mot on it.

Hello Raeturbo I know how you feel I had a fail on my mot and I need some welding done and my handbreak has gone haywire.I will see what the quote for repairs is and then decide what to do.It is a shame that the omegas are heading for the scrap yard.

Even if you have to replace all the consumable H/B parts(shoes, cable, discs, pads etc) that's going to cost less than just the labour to change a gearbox. And these gearboxes are now at the point where only a full rebuild is likely to be cost effective.

I was thinking Dolly might sh!t herself in the Evo  :D
at least that's only brown marbles/pellets to collect  :)
Sick takes a lot more cleaning up  :o

Clean the selector switch, If your going to change fluid, iirc including dropping sumps, blowing out cooler, and cleaning filters,(yes you can clean them,) it takes 8L, of fluid, I used  Shell spirax,(formally Donax) it's a HD dex3/4 transmission fluid for Commercial/Tractors.

Failing that there's a thrust washer that breaks, there is a guide on replacement.
