the cid MUST be provided in delivery mode, else its a brick.

The only place to get them at more sensible money seems to be German eBay (ebay.de), Think the Vectra C one is the same guts but in a different shell, unfortunately most of VX's newer cars now have 'widescreen' displays in.

I bought all my stuff from eBay.de with no problems (NCDC2013, CID, RGB cable). I just sign in with my .uk login and password. You'll also need the RGB cable that takes the colour signal from the NCDC to the back of the CID (look for RGB Stecker fur NCDC if you go that route).

As for Tech II, you first need to de-pair your existing display (GID?) from the NCDC so they are both in delivery mode. Then after installation, you'll need to pair up the new CID display to the NCDC. After that you can flog the old display on eBay as "ready for installation"
