That doesn't bother me so much cos the chime tells me they're on. The sidelight that's left on with the indicator does though, it's cost me a couple of flat batteries  :(

strange request! my ex's punto does that when you turn the ignition off, It baffles me as to why you'd want it done on an omega, or anyone on any car to be honest!

Well.... I will try to explain my self

When i drive at night I obviously have my lights on... why would i need them on when i stop?  I turn the ignition off and that is the end of my journey!.. I then forget and get the annoying bloody beeping!

I had a VW Passat a few years ago and this was a popular modification, someone on one of the VW forums found out how to do it.

tbh cause the dash is lit up and the light switch is close to the ignition barrel i always do it, its just during the day when its been raining or foggy i forget.

My old Mondeo had a very nice airplane style "bong" which was very soothing... and a gentle reminder. The Omega one is a bit hasher!

I'd like to mod it, "turn your lights off fool"  ;D

Senny one is the worst, very nasty buzzer sound!

Put an Omega buzzer in then, but I think it'd have to have lived by the glove box. I found one from an Astra F(? I think) and it was just a straight swap.

Surely it would be better to turn the lights off when dead locked....

There is a maintenance guide giving details...

as for lights off......looks like it simply needs a chunky relay in series with pin 30 on the light switch driven by the some sort of deadlocked signal from the central locking controller...

A lot of cars now are fitted with welcome home light's, they stay on for about a minute once the car is locked.
