vectra c limp mode

My mates vectra C diesel keeps going into limp mode when under load like overtaking on the motorway but its ok when pottering about town.
Im thinking crank sensor anyone any thoughts :y

I think it needs talking too with a code reader of some sort :y ....... unless you can paperclip or pedal test them  :-/

my mrs astra done the same and that is what the garage changed (crank sensor) and all good now

Neither of those is an option with diesels...

@ O.P. what engine is in the vehicle? 2.0/2.2 or 1.9?

Sadly, the pedal test does not work on those.

The usual cause of such faults on these units is the small vac pipes so check them all well

Thanks for the replies guys found the fault a vac pipe had split behind the grill :y :y
