...why not drag your respective better halves round scrapyards...

Tried that. She loved it! ...and proved to be much better at finding what I needed than I was >:(

Another idea. Cam belt parties remain free but we have a collection for a charity should those present wish to donate some of the money they've saved.

Richard Hammond Top Gear interactive DVD (which is poo)

Yep. Ditto. Could answer the questions easily enough but the menu system is so slow you can't answer in time >:(

Still, it'll make a nice frisbee.

Just a toy one then  :y

Yep. Sadly, can't justify a costly one until I find something to actually use it for other than blowing up tyres and scaring the cat!   ;D

Received prior notification that my parents couldn't think of anything to buy me this year and would be giving me a cheque :y - so I relieved them of that predicament:

Sounds like Zirk could have done with it.... :(

Yes it's a Renault 5 mk2, but still more fun check out this link http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ju6t-yyoU8s&NR=1 Big Ouch  ::) ::)

I remember that. There wasn't much room left for your legs, particularly in the Smart.  :o

Give me my Omega any day of the week. Don't have to start it with a recoil rope nor put 2 stroke oil in it either!  ;D

"emission-free". That just sums up their short-sightedness and inability to look at the big picture.

Where exactly is all this hydrogen going to come from without "emissions"?

Also have a look at how the system has been installed. The wiring to the injectors will have to have been intercepted somewhere, and an extra ECU fitted. Just see how good a job has been done of this. Neatly spliced wires with heat shrink and neat and sensible cable routing is a good thing, loads of insulation tape and a generally messy installation is not. The heater plumbing should have been diverted to flow through the evaporator so see what sort of a job has been done on that too.

Drive it on both fuels and see how it runs. Check for EML/Emissions light that has been disabled to cover up bad tuning of the LPG system. Might be worth trying to identify the system to see if it's a good one. Certainly whether it's mixer / SGI as this would have a big impact on the value IMHO.

Great, I'm flying of tomorrow  ::) thank's guys.
You'll be o.k it's the equivalent to running your car engine with the bonnet open :y
;DLike when you adjust the tappets on a Shovvitt???? ;D

Last time I adjusted the tappets on a shove-it I had to find them first! Hidden under a mountain of congealed oil! I could tell there was something there because it was wobbling as the engine ran...

Boy was that car improved after and oil and filter change, breather clean, tappets adjusted and a new air filter (old one was clogged with oil!)

The 300 mile round trip to collect the Westfield kit was bad enough in one of those. It'll be a struggle staying awake, I'd say. Drink lots of coffee! Despite the guy at the hire place saying mine was a turbo diesel one as opposed to NA and that it went "like a rocket" I doubt a 55 MPH limiter would have made much difference >:( And it was virtually unloaded. 650Kg of car minus the wheels, engine, gearbox, diff, suspension uprights, calipers, seats,...

Have a safe journey and tell yourself it'll be more fun in the Omega next time!

As long as you regard it as a bit of comedy rather than serious motoring journalism I reckon it's OK.

I found myself just being disappointed with a legend who to be honest came across as a bossy, arrogant and not all that nice a person.

This is how most legends end up, TBH. Once they're no longer legends what are you left with?
