Omega General Help / Remote Key Fixed
« on: 02 April 2010, 11:29:23 »
Sorry i don't know if this is the right place for this but thought it would be good to point out.

my mate had issues with his key and found this place and i sent one of my remote keys away as both had run out of battery and were very very battered, none of the remote functions working at all and the covers to the buttons worn to blazes.

sent to them first class on wednesday got it back today £30 including return recorded delivery and all is good, just had to re-sych the key (the put it in ignition and press a button one)

very highly recommended ...

Omega General Help / Large breather pipe dimensions
« on: 30 October 2007, 12:49:57 »
Ok so went to solve my stalling issues by cleaning the breathers and the large one disintigrated in my hand :( it was seriously choked up thus the issues.

Can i just nip to the local factors for a bit of hose? if so what dimensions? or should i be going to my local vx dealer for a specific part,

the smaller one was fine just the larger hose.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks guys, car is now booked into a place in edinburgh for next week and guy says max cost would be £58.75 and that's only is everything was off and needed adjusted which would be unlikely so not bad imo :)

Omega General Help / Tyre Wear - Tracking? Something Else?
« on: 28 August 2007, 12:02:18 »
Looking for a bit of advice on what i might be missing, just in case!

I had 2 new front tyres fitted in March / April time along with a new track Rod end and laser tracking as my front tyres were perfect on the outside but worn to the mesh on the inside only.

checked the tyres this morning and although not quite as bad, both my front tyres are wearing in the inside and not on the outside so seems they are sitting like /-(front of car)-\

Is there something else i should maybe be looking at or is it a case of having the tracking done again and see how it is?

for a point of note to get to my house, no matter what way i go, i have to travel over a fair number of these silly block built speed bumps that are just as wide as the car, i do go over them at a very sensible speed, in fact sometimes too sensible so not sure it that's an issue? and i also stay in roundabout city which doesn't help either :)

Ok so the car is intermittently stalling on me approaching junctions so think it's time to clean out the breathers and ICV :) done a quickie search but can't find any guides to it, i'm a complete disaster near cars and don't have a clue what is what so could do with a guide to doing it if there's any about.

Hey There

I've Found this a nice and firendly place so think you'll fit  int well.

Re tyres found this on Blackcircles -

The Avon ZZ3 is another performance tyre from Avon. Since the development of their directional pattern they have achieved an excellent reputation amongst the discerning performance driver. The Avon ZZ3 is the older brother of the Avon ZV3, the smaller and slower speed rated tyre. The ride quality is good and the Avon ZZ3 sticks to the road like glue although this tyre can sometimes be a little hard in wet and icy road conditions – we like the life offered by the Avon aswell, compared to most of its competitors it lasts a little longer, although the The natural competitor to the Avon is the Toyo Proxes T1-R and the Falken ZE512 which is comparable on performance and costs quite a bit less.

Life: 3.5 out of 5

Just curious if anyone has a diagram showing the warnign lights and what each one is, i'm a bit simple and other than the really simple Handbrake on light i haven't a clue what the others are for? In the vein hope that if they ever do light up i'll know what they are for :)
