.and meant to say, its Jockular Omegas because of Venue, not because we are all scottish.

So Chopsdad etc etc from the North - your only a few hours away and of course very very welcome. :y

Thanks Markie - How about somewhere near Livingstone?  Great shopping centre for the Mrs and local boy MAMS lives nearby.  Also has a Pizza Hut for AmigoV6. Only 'bout 100 miles from mine - but so is Glasgow for that matter.  :)

Sounds good to me.......Geography never my strong point so Brucie ./ Jim etc what sort of open spaces do we have in Livvy etc that we could use.... :-X

Firstly sorry for not being around had masses of family and work stuff going on.

right in Livi there's a few large parks, Howden Park is one that instantly springs to mind! large area with loads of open space, although no dedicated barbecue area etc :)

definately an interesting one for me, although i would ask for it NOT to be in August, the missus is expecting baby in mid August so would prefer either July or before or September or after :)

Will definately be making it to this one :)

An overnighter with camp fire, bbq, beers and burgers sounds good to me!!  :y

Not much use iunder the bonnet, but certainly willing to learn, anyone want to toy around with my car? lol

i'm hoping me, missus 2 weans and a dog, but can't confirm as yet :)

Now looking like either me on my todd or me and missus. Is there either a Travel Lodge or rentable caravans etc etc locally to this? The missus will be 7 months pregnant at the time and doesnae fancy sleeping in a tent :) lol

Nearest Travel Lodge to Keswick is off J40 at Penrith - only 15 miles away via A66 direct.  Also lots of B&B in Keswick too.

Nearest hospital 20 miles - only 10 mins if you let The Boy drive  :y

The missus doesnt drive and i'd fancy a few pots of Boddingtons / John Smiths or whatever the local ale is is Keswick :) so local B&B sounds good, although might need a doggie sitter then :D

Will havea think over the next day or so as might just be me and wee fella ( he's 9 ) in a tent :)

Been a few times to Motocross in Great Salkeld farmer there might let us use the field there that they use for parking the vans etc? or is that not close enough?

Personally I never touch the stuff, it strongly affects one's ability to hold a sensible, meaningful conversation :D

ok not an official Jockular Omeags meet but my missus is due to have baby number 3 (we already have a 9 year old and a 4 year old) in August so likely to be an excuse for a whetting of the babies head which you'd all be welcome to come to.

Would be in and around the Livingston area  :y

looks like it's a no go :( wife has other plans for me it would appear :(

ach well gives me time to sort out some bodywork issues between now and the next meet.

Is anyone taking the kids?

My Missus, 9 and 4 year olds could day with a day out and now that i had the exhaust, tyres and trackrod ends fixed the beast is ready to move so am now considering popping up to the bonny banks.

Just want to make sure there would be other little-ums there too before i decide 100%

Was gonna try to change plans to meet you all there but now car will be spending the day in the garage getting cat section of the exhaust fitted along with new tyres and tracking fixed.

if i'm out in time and able to zip along i will do, but looks unlikely, will just need to wait for the next time.
Unlucky M8, but i am sure there will be a next time going by the amount of interest on this one. :y

biggest advantages of a 40d/50d over the 10d is larger screens, live view (if you'll use it), better low light performance and faster and better image processors for getting the most out of the files.

not sure about the 40d but the 50d deffo has sensor cleaning in built too which can be handy.
