Ebay are selling new xenon hid light units (89.99)each They come without ballast, can this be just changed over from my originals on my elite?. I'm cleaning my lenses first , this is just in case it doesn't go well, thanks for help

thanks for reply Rob,sorry dont know how to do links but item number on ebay is 360507140840, i have a 2.6 2002 elite so will this unit fit with my original ballast      cheers

They did have the other side listed on its own Al , hoping to clean them up but not a lot of time at the moment Mother is poorly 
I really fancy a nice shiney set ,i know they're expensive but you only live once

Looks like 1200/200 grit & then plenty of elbow power with G3  for mine .

Little bruv does have a decent polisher though   I'll have a lend of that

I've done them successfully before Al on all the Omegas we've had - wouldn't go as coarse as 200 grit - used 1000/1200 on mine, then G3, followed by TCut then waxed.  Keep them well wet when using the wet and dry

Seen a few on there. One guy seamed to get good results from an advacardo 
He even tried urine if I recall

If it works for you Al, go for it - wet 'n dry needed for bad cases   The shakes - age or booze ?

Polished  mine up today . .  G7 first . . .then T cut  with polisher/buffer & sponge pad  & finished off with a hand polish with Mer

Come up very well , almost look new 

Mine were quite well pitted & off colour but still did not use any wet & dry . Each lamp took about 10 mins

Used Plastex cleaner , with pad on drill, lights have come up pretty well ,won't need to go down replacement route just yet Al ,thanks all for advice

I got the headlight restoration kit by Meguiars, brought mine up a treat. £15 for the kit includes sanding pads, wool drill attachment, and a bottle of PlastX

Yep definitely works, just takes a bit of perseverance

I rubbed down my headlights with 1200 wet n dry (wet) then gave them a coat of "2k" lacquer (that was not 2 pack) and they looked like new and have remained that way for about 3 or 4 years now. Total cost nothing as I had the stuff sitting in the garage after painting my bikes.

It feels like a job well done after getting some sparkle back in the old girls front end and is one of the easiest jobs I have done on the car to be honest and you get to actually see the result of the work put into it unlike fixing the mechanical stuff!!

Was the 2k lacquer just out of an aerosol can? Is that different from normal lacquer?
