Great work there. Nice to know there's someone out there who cares.  I've mentally bookmarked them if I need similar work doing.
Is that the same Andy Clears that was the parts guy at a VX dealer, and helped out loads of ABS members over the years?

Hi Andy, I'll have to come and see you the next time I visit my sister lives as she lives in Hinderclay.
How come it's not your name on the Iceni website/FB page? I thought your reputation would be worth promoting.

Trialing different ideas for the grill  :-\

I also have two genuine new headlights to fit as soon as I get some protection film for them  :)

it's much fussier than standard, which only emphasises the plonked on as an afterthought look of the facelift grille. Thumbs down from me

Thanks for the responses, I'm undecided.  ::)

Just for the record, this was a cheapy FK Automotive grill that was damaged so I took the hacksaw to it and retrofitted the fake chrome off a standard grill, I wouldn't have done this surgery (well bodge) to a genuine Irmscher grill!

I have another FK Automotive grill in black which looks good on a black car and a standard grill if I still can't make my my mind up!

Never understood the fascination with the Irmscher grille. They manage to be pretty expensive while looking cheap and nasty.

I think the Irmscher grill with a charcoal or body colour frame suits the facelift as the original grill is the only chome on the car and looks tacky for it.

Other alternatives would be an Opel Grill or a Cadillac one :-\

I always thought the worst 'stick on grill' was the early rover 200/400, I think the facelift Omega grill looks more integral than that or the Astra G's.

To my mind the 'stick on' look comes from having the metal of the bonnet visible around the edges, but if that's the case how has BMW's kidney grill survived for so long?
