Omega General Help / Re: ABS-ECU Refurb ?
« on: 04 February 2014, 14:08:41 »
Anyone know the best/cheapest place to get my ABS-ECU refurbed ? I've had the front wheels off and the wheel speed sensors and wiring dont appear to be damaged in anyway, so I dont think the problem lies there, at first it was intermittent the TC and ABS would come on for awhile and then go off for awhile but for the last 3 months or so they have been on permantley, also is it a hard job to remove the ABS-ECU ?

BBA reman have recently put their prices up and now want £200 for doing an Omega ABS ecu which is too much, you are better off using ECU Testing ltd - they still charge £100 plus £30 collect and deliver

  Telephone: 01773 535638

(If calling from outside the UK dial: ++441773535638)

Address:

The part is on the car so I can't find the number.

There are a few different par numbers, 3.0 auto is really hard to get hold of you are better sending yours off for repair (I was in the same position and waited over 12 months never found a 2nd hand ABS ecu with the same part number as my 3.0 elite -  0273004207.

Unusual for heads to go except for some 2.5 and 3.0s built in '98...

Yours is a 2.6 iirc :-\ as Webby has said, the two things might not be related...
Hi Al yes this is the 2.6, a 2003 model. Shame to have a big problem like this when I just got it, still got the 3.0 so not the end of the world just more expense not good in January.

Dont worry I know when a headgasket is gone, and this one is well and truly gone pressuring and boiling up its water even in a short trip, it was probably on its last legs when traded to me (shame they forgot to mention it).

Omega General Help / Estate - rear seats wont go down
« on: 09 December 2013, 11:04:45 »
my new estate just arrived and the rear seats seem to be locked in place (up).
both buttons feel like they are already stuck down, wont push down any further and dont spring back up either.

anyone had this and how to fix?

Didn't you say your self levelling wasn't working?

I've got a feeling the self leveling is not working but I will soon find out when I load it up with these.
24 slabs is 360 kg which if you think about it is just like having 4 really fat passengers on board which is nothing much.

my 3.0 elite has self leveling but have never noticed it in action, also when I tow the racing car it goes down at the rear pretty much the same as my previous non SL Omega would do when towing.

Its had recent new s/l shocks from Vaux in 2011 maybe its not functioning? How can you tell when the SL suspension is working?

I'm picking up some paving slabs later in the week in my 3.0 estate anyone done this recently how many will it safely take?
these are small sized concrete slabs 45cm sq.

I reckon they are 15kg each (appox).
