Wiper linkage
« on: 12 March 2011, 13:37:29 »

My wipers started playing up last week, they were making a grinding noise so I have removed the linkage. The spline for the driver side turns freely but the other is stuck and needs a hammer hit to move it. I take it they should both turn freely? Can you remove the spline and clean it up?

It all one unit. Just change the whole thing, it's only 4 self tappers.  ;)

Hi Andy I have it off the car I can see how it all goes together I was just wondering if the splines could be pushed out and regreased. The car is going for its MOT next week and I was hoping to do it today.

I've just looked at an Astra link I have in the garage. Two circlips & they both look as though they'll push out. Go for it!  ;)  :y
