Omega is getting older and so am I
« on: 08 October 2009, 09:54:19 »

My height is 6ft 6 so finding another car is not easy. Eyeing up a 2006 BMW 730d SE.

If I want an extended warranty from BMW it will be £1875 per annum!!

Maybe I will have to stick with Omega which is now over 8 years old.

I bought a BMW GS from a beemer dealer. Full Warrarnty on that (except consumables) is £280 a year! (first year is free, even on a 4 year old 30k bike)

Warranty Direct Prcie (as opposed to BMW) is £700. A problem is the I Drive system which i am just starting to read up on. This appears to be a disaster area and the source of many problems and dissatisfaction. Will make more enquiries. BMW Land Forum seems to suggest that the BMW cover is good value. It is now putting me off reading the expensive failures that are coming through on fairly new cars.
