who?
This chap

An educated and very eloquent, if outspoken, voice against the wokist bullshit that is destroying the world.

A hero of mine
I recall that on some TV panel type thing (?Maybe BBCQT) He described Theresa May's Brexit Withdrawal Agreement as something like "An agreement imposed upon the defeated by a victor". Absolutely spot on.
I wish I could find a video or something . . .

What pisses me off?

People who drive at 40mph in a 60 limit on dry, quiet roads when there are no overtaking spots.

People hogging the middle or outside lane of a motorway, taking ten miles to overtake one vehicle. Get out of the f*** way.

People who pull out from lane 1-2 or 2-3 at around 55mph and don’t seem to have any perception at all of the speed of the traffic which is just about to pass them and has to either slow down or make a rapid lane change.

I am so pissed off with the awful standard of driving on todays roads that I often prefer to get the ficking train!

Oh and the green lentil eating brigade piss me off too.

I got told I was a “disgrace” in a petrol station not that long ago, when some no doubt vegan saw me put £200 worth of super unleaded in my 21 year old, 4.4 litre V8 15MPG Range Rover, before they no doubt went on to pay for their “plant based” baguette.

Oh. And petrol stations. The morons that pull up to a pump. Take forever ficking around to fill up. Then unstrap about 4 kids, and go into the shop with them. Spend 6 hours buying lattes and their weekly shop in the attached M+S, saunter back to the car, carefully organise it all into the boot. Spent another hour strapping in their offspring. Finally crawl off the forecourt, so I can bung some petrol in and pay at the pump (all within about 3 minutes).

What else pisses me off?

People being told to list their “pronouns”. My names James (use it) and I’m clearly a bloke and therefore a him. If others feel the need to stipulate their pronouns, that’s a matter for them - but don’t force me to do it.

Doctors surgeries piss me off too. I’ve had to use them a lot recently, and it infuriates me that you can’t book in advance. “You have to call at 8am on the day” … yeah, and sit in a queue for an hour in hold and then be told there are no appointments left and to try again (and no doubt get the same answer) tomorrow.

What also pisses me off is the camera phone wielding brigade. People film in all sorts of places, I don’t want to be in your bloody videos or social media pages when I’m out socialising.

Political correctness. It’s gone mad.

The attitude towards men.  Since that monster PC in the met committed his horrendous crimes, it seems that pretty much every man in society is considered a rapist or murderer and will use “violence against women and girls”. Most single blokes I know now are too scared to even say hello to a woman in public for fear of being tarred with that brush. (Can I even use that expression in 2023?)

I sent an email a while ago (not at work) and was challenged by the recipient because I said something was “in black and white” (very obviously meaning it was written down in back ink on white paper).

I was told it was inappropriate and had “racial connotations”.

The world has absolutely lost its way, and I’m frankly sick of it!

Not very much then  ;) pretty content with the World  :y
I'm sure most here agree with most of that

Are you sure it didn’t say Red X ‘Enforced’, which means that anyone caught travelling in a closed lane will be fined. It’s basically letting you know that there are cameras on that gantry to spot people using the closed lane and they ‘will’ enforce the fine for doing so.

Very possibly
I still find the wording very strange. Imagine being a foreigner (or Welsh) and seeing that, and trying to make sense of it. Surely just a green tick or a red X above the relevant lane would get the message across ?

We decided to get our Volvo V70 serviced properly, our local independent is a nice guy but a bit seat-of-your-pants.

Nearest Volvo dealer is 45 minutes drive away, and of course expensive. But, UK and European breakdown cover for a year, and actually not hugely more than the independent.

Happy  ;)

I don't drive as much as I used to, but still a reasonable amount.

This week on the M4 to the wildlands of Berkshire, I saw signs " Red X Enabled"

Yes of course I know about hard shoulders being used as an extra lane and an X indicating that it should not be used. But what the F does that wording mean ? How is some thicko like me supposed to understand that. Does it mean don't use it or what?

I thought "Red X" was a fuel additive

Then, hope everyone else will do the washing up . . .  ;)
Doesn't everybody had a big box under one of the worktops that does that/

Yes, but I often think it's more work loading it up and then waiting for somebody else to empty it and put it all away  :o

I do the cooking  :o (yes seriously)

Offsrping are able to join us despite the best efforts of Comrade Lynch. So get turkey in oven with the intention of overcooking it a bit with lunch aimed at 3pm - ish.

Couple of beers in the kitchen. Fizz for the Mrs. Sort out the wines (taken very VERY seriously in our house)

Then, hope everyone else will do the washing up . . .  ;)

I got pestered endlessly to get one, and eventually gave in. Appointment made

They couldn't do it due to the layout of the house and thick stone walls which prevented the gizmos communicating

Excellent  :y

I switched energy companies soon after anyway. Now, nice and simple enter meter readings online every few months

Although have a new boiler, the piping in our old house bangs like Angie Rayner when clicking on, so leaving it on the thermostat is not an option if we want to sleep  :( So, switch on and off manually when required.

Our Rayburn water tank sprang a leak and became unusable. Can't get anyone to repair/replace. Plenty will sell me a new one, but won't install it and remove the old one

Log burner is great  :y
