Rotated panes on crankshaft?
« on: 24 June 2017, 20:27:24 »

Sorry, but I don't know how to specify problem in english...rotated panes on crankshaft?
My 3.2, 137k on the clock, noise only on high revs...tapping at times louder, sometimes quieter, never the same loudness on same revs.
Definitely from fuel pipes side.
Regards.

could be the camshaft lifters had similar sound on my other engine, think it was the spring and shim part inside as old one could easy push the bit inside but new set was harder to move, sound went when they were changed. it could be that.

Does sound a bit like camshaft or lifters.. if its any consolation it sounds better than my 2.5 as it makes some god awful squealing rattling noises that again I really cant be bothered to sort out.
