Hi Gents - The car is now sold, thanks for the interest, I really will miss the old girl, she has done me proud.
Doc, yes I know I would lose out on the July tax, thanks.
Thread can be closed/deleted/archived/printed out on small sheets of paper & hung in the toilet etc.  :(

Over 48 hours & still heard nothing from Swordfish, therefore still for sale.

3
Swordfish from Manchester wants it, but hasn't got back to me yet. Does anyone have any contact details for him?

4
Auto mate, AR25, no problems with it. Front wishbones need the rear bushes doing, the front ones are Poly.

5
Still for sale, the bloke thought it had a tow-bar - another insurmountable problem!!!

6
It may be sold already, I just need to space up the drive. I have shown the car at Billing for a few years (gutted as I missed this year due to work).   :(

The time has come, I am giving up the Omega after nearly seven years, she has done me proud. She is not pretty (arches need doing, back bumper is the wrong colour) but she polishes up nicely. Ten months test left, and I have just put six months tax on her. A few jobs need doing, like rear bushes, but the fronts are Poly. Asking £300 with the tax (£126.50) for quick sale. There are a few pics on here but will add some later, or I can send them direct to you. She is Nocturno blue, 141,000 miles, & lives in Cleethorpes.
I will miss the old girl, but will stay on this forum, it's helped me out quite a number of times. I recommend it to everyone.

You could always do the "Hilper mod", meaning your boot/tailgate will open with one short press, with keys in or out, on the move too.

I just do them "tight", and as said, if they don't leak they must be tight enough.

Hi Keith, yes I saw your advert & thought "Hmmm". The old girl has just gone through another MOT, so I will keep the "Devil you know" until I see something I fancy.   ::)

Thanks Seth & Keith, I am sorted now, got one in with a metal impeller, not too bad a job. It's a shame I had to go to work, which gets in the way of car mending. I am now off for a drive.  :y

Thanks TB, not sure when I have time to do it, but then I need the car for work etc. I am sort of hoping it is the water pump, and I have never heard of stats failing in the closed position, buggers.

Hmmm, thanks Gents. The stat was brand new genuine GM about 2 years ago. No viscous fan fitted. The nearside electric fan was spinning at one point, but not all the time. I turned the heater on full, but it was blowing cold. Not sure about the rad temp. It does look like the water pump then  :-\
