Title: For Sale: 2003 53 Reg Omega 3.2 Elite Auto Estate in Black
Post by: twiglet on 15 July 2013, 13:57:35
Ok, so it's one of the very last retail Omegas, 1st registered in September 2003 on a 53 plate.  It's a 3.2 Auto in Elite spec, and is Tax'd and MOT'd until September 2013.  I'm the 3rd owner and the full V5 is in my name.  It has covered 108k miles.

The car came with a fully stamped up service history when I bought it, including a replacement cambelt kit at 81k in October 2009.  There is alot of paperwork with the car, including the leather manual wallet, car pass, receipts, old Mot certificates and old tax discs.

I am aware that the car will be due a cambelt change in October (on age, not mileage).  I have a brand new GM cambelt kit, aux belt and tensioner pulley reading to go on the car.  These are available via seperate negotiation.

Since I purchased the car, I have kept a record of all the work I have carried out, as detailed below...

Date, Mileage, Service Items   , Notes
26/06/2010, 94436, Purchased vehicle
05/07/2010, 94982, Heater Bypass Valve, Leaking - Replaced with genuine GM part

Fuel Filter, Replaced with genuine GM part
Pollen Filter, Replaced with genuine GM part
Spark Plugs, Replaced with genuine GM part
        Brake Fluid, System Flushed
        Coolant (Long Life), System Flushed
13/08/2010, 97802   , Header Tank, Defective coolant level sensor
02/10/2010, 98739   , Tyres (slow punctures), 2no. Reseal and balance
26/02/2011, 100068, ATF Fluid & Filter Change, Fuchs Titan ATF 4000 Fully Synthetic ATF
Rear Diff Oil Change, Fuchs Titan Gear Hypoid 90 Heavy Duty Gear Oil
Cam Covers Resealed, Small oil leak in cylinder 6 plug well resolved
Spark Plugs, Replaced with genuine GM part
09/04/2011, 100471, Lambda Sensors, Fitted 2no. New lambda sensors after main Cats to resolve EML codes 420/430
16/04/2011, 100471, Alloy Wheels Refurbished, All wheels acid dipped, bead blasted, power coated, painted & lacquered
         2 New Tyres, 2no. Avon ZV5 235/45 ZR17 97W Extra Load
27/04/2011, 100641, Rear Subframe Damper Bushes, Replaced with Febi OEM bushes
Front Wishbone Front Bushes, Replaces with Powerflex Polyurethane bushes
Oil & Filter Change (Semi Synthetic), Replaced with genuine GM part
28/04/2011, 100846, Full Geometry Calibration, Work Carried out at Wheels In Motion, Chesham
10/06/2011, 101181, Air-con Re-gas, Leak tested, purged and re-gassed
20/08/2011, 102186, Rear Hub & Shoes Overhauled, No new parts required
Complete Handbrake Cable Assy, Replaced with genuine GM part
Rear Discs, Replaced with genuine GM part
Rear Pads, Replaced with genuine GM part
09/07/2012, 105023, Oil & Filter Change (Semi Synthetic), Replaced with genuine GM part
Air Filter, Replaced with genuine GM part
Pollen Filter, Replaced with genuine GM part

As well as all the standard elite toys, the car has an NCDC2013 system with full colour CID screen.  I will also include a genuine GM Nav disc.

It has a full set of genuine GM floor mats, original load guard and load cover, towbar with single electrics, moulded GM mad flaps and the 2 original remote keys.

The black leather interior (late spec leather) is immaculate, and all of the electric motors and heater pads are working perfectly.  The interior is very clean, nothing is broken or damaged.  The bodywork is excellent and the paintwork has a deep gloss shine having been professionally detailed.  There are however, some minor stone chips and very small parking dings.  The wheels are 100% perfect, having been totally refurbished to a very high standard.

I'm planning on removing the genuine Steinmetz stainless steel exhaust backbox from the car, and replacing it with a brand new, standard twin-exit backbox.  However I happy to discuss leaving the Steinmetz one on the car if required.

I am asking for £2750 for the car.  I'm pretty sure I've already addressed all of the common issues with Omegas now, so I expect it to give many miles of trouble free motoring for someone.  However, if I get offered the right money for the car, I will arrange for it to be MOT'd, so it will come with 13 months MOT.

I realise that I have advertised this car on here before, but I have now bought a replacement so it really does have to go this time.  This is not an auction, but I will consider sensible offers.

Please PM or email me with any questions...

I actually wondered if R Budden would give Twiglet his asking price and then sell it on for a profit. He wouldn't have to do much if anything to it before putting it on his forecourt. :-\

Actually it's a she  8)

Her name is Kim (username Woodbine), and she has asked me to say that she will be the proud new owner.  She can't post in this thread as she doesn't have enough posts.  However, I know she is very much looking forward to taking delivery of the old girl, and I know she will cherish her just as I have.   :y

I can't comment on whether there will be any stroking going on though Opti...  ;D

I'm being to think you're right there Albs.   ::)

For those that are interested, I've bought a 2006 Vectra C 1.9 CDTi (150) X-Pack Elite Estate (in Z20R black, of course) to replace the Mig.  Once I've got it up to scratch, I'll post up some pics in the gallery.  It's got 1 or 2 little issues, but nothing that can't be sorted.   :y

Thing is, I've been clearing all my stuff out of my mig tonight, in readiness to deliver it to Kim on Saturday, and it made me realise what a bloody fantastic car she is!  Nearly brought a tear to my eye!   :'(

I can't make any promises, but if there's one going, I'd be interested in the details, I have half an eye open for a TD estate, especially if preface..
